You Are COMMANDED to love God and Your Neighbor

Mark 12:29-31 (ESV) Now one of the scribes had come up & heard their debate. Noticing how well Jesus had answered them, he asked Him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul & with all your mind & with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” — The deceitfulness of this world, the cares of this world & the plans of this world must never overshadow the love of God & His plans. DECEITFULNESS is the use of deception, deceit, deceptiveness, fraud, cheating, cunning, duplicity, & lying! —Philippians 4:11-13Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, & I know how to abound. In any & every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty & hunger, abundance & need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.  & Deuteronomy 8:17-18 says: Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power & the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’ You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may confirm His covenant that He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Our God has given within each of us the power to LOVE & this one thing is greater than all the wealth in this world! We would do well to focus more on LOVE & less on this world & its wealth! Remember it is only paper! Love Mel
