From Bill—Trait number 4 for effective prayer is TO ASK. Mark 11:24 says “I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, & it will be yours.” —James tells us “we have not, because we ask not”. (I am going to add here to KEEP ON ASKING.) Jesus tells us here to ASK & to believe we have already received it. —James 4:3 says “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” Mark 14:36 says: “And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.” ASK in accordance with HIS will. John 15:7 says “if you remain in Me & My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, & it will be done for you.” John 16 says “in that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in My name.
