Lev 23:4-5 (ESV)These are the appointed feasts of the Lord, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight, is the Lord’s Passover. Ex12:21 Then Moses called all the elders of Israel & said to them, “Go & select lambs for yourselves according to your clans, & kill the Passover lamb. Ex 12:6 You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight. John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, & said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Matt 26:2 You know that after two days the Passover is coming, & the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified. Luke 22:7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Matt 12:40 For just as Jonah was three days & three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days & three nights in the heart of the earth. Luke 24:46 And said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer & on the third day rise from the dead. Mark 16:2 Very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. (The first day of the week would have been Sunday!) So we know Jesus rose on Sunday morning! Now count for yourself three days & three nights! You have Saturday night, Friday Night, — My count is two not three! — Our God said to celebrate the Passover & Easter is supposed to be the Passover celebration of Jesus rising from the grave, but something is not exactly right in the interpretation!
Just remember it is more about what Jesus did for us at the cross & on Calvary than bunny & eggs! Give the glory to God & find a way to celebrate His plan! Love Mel.
Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday, whenever you celebrate! Love Mel
