James 1:19-20 (ESV) Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Prov 10:19 When words are many, sin is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise. Proverbs 16:32
He who is slow to anger is better than a warrior, & he who controls his temper is greater than one who captures a city. Col 3:8 Now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, & filthy language from your lips. Peter 2:1 Rid yourselves, therefore, of all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, & slander. — So much wisdom in all these scriptures! Our God tries to tell us that it is so important to be SLOW to anger! Reason being is that it doesn’t produce righteousness! Choosing Righteousness leads to a life aligned with God’s will, resulting in blessings, inner peace, & a stronger relationship with God. Love Mel
