Peace in the Storm

Mark 4:35-41 (ESV) On that day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.” & leaving the crowd, they took Him with them in the boat, just as He was. & other boats were with Him. & a great windstorm arose, & the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. & they woke Him & said to Him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” & He awoke & rebuked the wind & said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” & the wind ceased, & there was a great calm.He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”& they were filled with great fear & said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind & the sea obey Him?” — Storms may rage, but God can calm them & give us peace.  Eventually the storm will pass & He will bring us safely to the other side.  Storms cause us to realize that He is in full control. Our faith & trust can dispel all fears & bring the calm to the storm. Love Mel
