1 Cor 12:1 (ESV) Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. 1Peter 4:10 (ESV) As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 1 Cor 12:8-10 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, & to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Cor 14:39 So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, & do not forbid speaking in tongues. 1 Cor 12:31 Earnestly desire the higher gifts. & I will show you a still more excellent way. 1 Cor 14:1 Pursue love, & earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. — We are to PURSUE Love & DESIRE the Spiritual Gifts! PURSUE means that we are : to follow in order to overtake! Desire means we are to long for strongly! God is not threatened by our fears, doubts or unbelief.
