Pay Attention to the Little Things

Song of Sol 2:15 Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom. Luke 16:10 One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. Matt 25:21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ — God knows & understands the difficulties of man, He looks at our heart intentions! It is the little things that spoil the vine! Some questions to ponder! Do we try our best? Are we sorry for our sin? Do we pray for God’s forgiveness? Do we try to stop our flesh from doing wrong? Do we try to please Him? When we learn to be faithful over the little things, He will give us more to be faithful over! Remember it is all a heart matter! Love Mel

The Lord is a Shield About Me

David’s prayer for deliverance:
Psalm 3:1-8 O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah
But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.  I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah Love Mel

Be The One Who Trust No Matter What

Gen 25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread & lentil stew, & he ate & drank & rose & went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. Ex 16:2-3 The whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses & Aaron in the wilderness, & the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots & ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” Num 13:30-31 Caleb quieted the people before Moses & said, “Let us go up at once & occupy it(The Promise Land), for we are well able to overcome it.” Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.” Num14:2 All the people of Israel grumbled against Moses & Aaron. — As the story goes Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of stew. The Israelites wanted to go back to slavery under the Egyptians. Because of all their grumbling & complaining they missed getting to go into the promised land. There were two, Joshua & Caleb that trusted God & believed that ALL things are possible with God. We too, today can be the ones that truly trust in His greatness to overcome the giants or we can trade our freedom for a handout or a bowl of stew! It is all about choice. Our choice. Love Mel

Choose Life

CHOOSE LIFE —Deut 30:19 This day I call the heavens & the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life & death, blessings & curses. Now CHOOSE LIFE, so that you & your children may live. Hebr 12:15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God & that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble & defile many. Psalm 50:15 Call on me when you are in trouble, & I will rescue you. Gal6:9 Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. —We have all heard the phrase, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. For this we must learn to “Adopt an optimistic attitude in the face of adversity”. If we are honest we know that We have very little control over things & situations in this world, however we can control how they influence us. It is always a choice! We have the ability to transform Lemons into lemonade! Choose God & do good for that is what we are called to do. We never have to doubt His love & from that one thing we can make our lemonade & overcome all adversity. Love Mel

Be Positive

Prov 12:25 Anxiety weighs down the heart of a man, but a good word cheers it up. Prov 18:21 The power of the tongue is life & death; those who love to talk will eat what it produces. Phil 4:8 Now, dear brothers & sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, & honorable, & right, & pure, & lovely, & admirable. Think about things that are excellent & worthy of praise. — Positive thoughts, & positive words are critical to the heart. Renewing our minds in a positive environment will certainly impact our lives everyday. —Prov 15:13 A joyful heart makes a cheerful countenance, but sorrow of the heart crushes the spirit. —Spending time smiling, laughing, thinking positively, believing the best, while being spiritually prepared for life’s troubles improves your chances of giving thanks in all things.
