Luke 6:36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Matt 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Hebr 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy & find grace to help in time of need. — Grace & Mercy! Grace is the giving of unmerited favor, while Mercy is not giving deserved punishment! Our God offers His saving Grace & His compassion to those in distress. So shouldn’t we do the same? I believe we all would like Psalm 51:1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. — The Bible tells us that we all have sinned & fallen short of His Glory. However, He loved us so much that He made a way, thru His son Jesus. Now that truly warms the heart. Love Mel
Choose Life
Gen 1:28 God blessed them. & God said to them, “Be fruitful & multiply & fill the earth & subdue it & have dominion over the fish of the sea & over the birds of the heavens & over every living thing that moves on the earth. Psalm127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. 1John1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Luke 1:44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Matt 18:10 See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. — Roe vs Wade has been struck down! I believe our God is smiling & there is celebration in heaven! Who knows, just maybe this is a new beginning where we as people of this earth will begin to respect life. Because it is a precious gift from our God. Love Mel
He Hides Us in The Secret Place
Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 27:5 For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will lift me high upon a rock. Psalm 90:1 Lord, You have been our dwelling place through all generations. — What does in mean to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. On a hot sunny day, the heat from the sun can be blocked & you can find protection if you can find a shadow! Well how much more protection can we find from the Shadow of the Almighty! It can be the best place to dwell during troubled times. Love Mel
The Sowing of Seed
Matt 13:24-30 The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came & sowed weeds among the wheat & went away. So when the plants came up & bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. & the servants of the master of the house came & said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go & gather them?’ He said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, & at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first & bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.” — Wheat or Chaff we have a choice! They both grow together, but eventually the two will be separated! Chaff is separated from grain during threshing. The threshing floor in ancient Israel used these agricultural spaces where crops are threshed and winnowed to release the grain. The threshing floor is considered a place of blessings & judgement, with the grain being the blessing & the chaff judgement. — Psalm 1:3-4 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season & its leaf does not wither; & in whatever he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff which the wind drives away. — We must be like the tree planted by the streams of God. He must be our continued source. Love Mel
