The Shema – Thou SHALL Love the Lord – and Others

Mark 12:30 (KJV) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, with all thy mind, & with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 1Cor 16:14 (ESV) Let all that you do be done in love. Col3:12-14 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy & beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, & patience, bearing with one another &, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. & above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. — Love binds everything together in perfect harmony. —Rom 14:9 So then let us pursue what makes for peace & for mutual upbuilding. —LOVE! Idle Words – Words that have NO KINGDOM PURPOSE

O Lord please forgive us for our idle words!

Matt 12:36-37  (ESV)

I (Jesus) tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every idle word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, & by your words you will be condemned. James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious & does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.  Prov 15:2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly. Eph 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is GOOD for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give GRACE to those who hear.  — Artificial Intelligence states, that idle words are “careless, thoughtless, or unproductive speech that lacks substance or edification”. We must remember that, In this world there is so much babbling & untruth being spoken & we should NOT be party to it! We as Christians must learn to refrain from this & be wise with our words, thereby spreading more & more of His GRACE! Don’t ever forget “His GRACE is AMAZING”! Love Mel

A little saying worth remembering!

“Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.

God’s Kingdom

Matt 13:31-32 (ESV)The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took & sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants & becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come & make nests in its branches.” — Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, that grows into a large tree, providing shelter for birds. Heaven is a small seed & if planted in our lives can be a giant tree. This messianic prophecy foretells the growth of Christ’s kingdom from very small beginnings to a sizable, sheltering place for us all to live each other & God! Love Mel

Quick to Listen, Slow to Speak, Slow to Anger

James 1:19-20 (ESV) Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Prov 10:19 When words are many, sin is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.  Proverbs 16:32

He who is slow to anger is better than a warrior, & he who controls his temper is greater than one who captures a city. Col 3:8 Now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, & filthy language from your lips. Peter 2:1 Rid yourselves, therefore, of all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, & slander. — So much wisdom in all these scriptures! Our God tries to tell us that it is so important to be SLOW to anger! Reason being is that it doesn’t produce righteousness! Choosing Righteousness leads to a life aligned with God’s will, resulting in blessings, inner peace, & a stronger relationship with God. Open Your Spiritual Eyes

2Kings 6:17 (ESV) Then Elisha prayed & said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, & he saw, & behold, the mountain was full of horses & chariots of fire all around Elisha. Eph 1:18Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints. Gen 22:13 Abraham lifted up his eyes & looked, & behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. & Abraham went & took the ram & offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. —  As our eyes are opened to the truth we see & understand, which is critical to fully seeing His protection around us.  It is here where we can escape the snares in life! Stay vigilant & believe in His plan for your life! Love Mel
