Forgiveness is Crucial – mostly for us

Rom 12:17 (RSV)Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. Matt 18:21-22 Then Peter came up & said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, & I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. Matt 6:14-15 For if you forgive others their
trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. — FORGIVENESS, the real lesson is to “Avenge not yourselves”! To avenge is to give place unto wrath. — Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.— We must truly trust in God! He has got this! Love Mel

7 Things the Lord Hates

Prov 6:16-19 (ESV)There are six things that the LORD hates, the seventh that is an abomination to Him:

1, haughty eyes,
2. a lying tongue, &
3. hands that shed innocent blood,
4. a heart that devises wicked plans,
5. feet that make haste to run to evil,
6. a false witness who breathes out lies, &
7. one who sows discord among brothers.

— God hates the prideful, the liars, the murderers, the deceivers, those who run to evil, false witness, & ones that cause trouble! — These are clearly a list that we must stay clear of! Really it is a heart matter! Stay true to God & you will overcome the tricks of the devil! Love Mel

Avoid Corrupt Talk

Prov 16:28 (ESV) A dishonest man spreads strife, & a whisperer separates close friends. Eph 4:29 (ESV) Let no corrupt talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for BUILDING up, as fits the occasion, that it may give GRACE to those who hear. Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, & to show perfect courtesy toward all people. 1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. —It can be difficult & hurtful when someone speaks poorly of us, but it is important to remember that our ultimate identity & worth are not determined by what others think or say about us. Instead, let’s find our identity & worth from what God says about us. —Rom 8:17 (NIV) Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God & co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory. Hallelujah!! 🙏

Seek After the Lord! Pursue Him.

How to get closer to God in such a loud world? —Jer 29:13 (NIV) You will seek me & find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “& will bring you back from captivity. Prov 8:17 “I love those who love me, & those who seek me find me.” Psalm 145:18 (ESV) The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. John 14:23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, & My Father will love him, & We will come to him & make our home with him. —So we must distance ourselves from whatever is distracting us. Lay aside whatever we are prone to delight in more than Him. Spend our time Seeking Him, Calling on Him, & spend time in Prayer. Prayer is our love language to God! It is the one thing Jesus spent doing during His ministry & it is the one thing the disciples asked Him to teach them how to do! We must do these things thru love, truth, obedience & with ALL of our heart! Love Mel
