The Believers Armor and the Faithfulness of God
Eph 6:10-17 (KJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, & in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh & blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, & having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate ofrighteousness; & your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ABOVE ALL, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. & take the helmet of salvation, & the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: — The key is ABOVE ALL take the shield of faith & use it with Rom 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 14:18-19 Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God & approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for PEACE & for mutual upbuilding. Phil 4:8 (ESV) Finally, brothers & sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, THINK about these things. Rom 12:9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is GOOD! — If you have any questions about what to do for 2024, God tells us to HOLD to what is GOOD, PURSUE PEACE & THINK about what is true, honorable, pure, lovely & excellent! These things will bring praise! A New Creation and a New Year
2 Cor5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. Isaiah 43:18 Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? …Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare & not for evil, to give you a future & a hope. Hold Fast Your Hope!
Living Hope! — 1Peter1:3-5 (ESV) Blessed be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, & unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Hebr 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. —The Greek term for “hope” in the passage means “an eager, confident expectation.” Our hope is in in His victory over death & His resurrection life! This hope is “an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, & unfading, kept in heaven” just for each of us! Now that is something worth putting our HOPE in! Love Mel
