James 1:12 Remain Steadfast Under Trial

James 1:12 ESV Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him. Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. —Dull knives or scissors do not work good! In order to get them working we must sharpen them! That takes pressure! We are like them in many ways, because our God uses the pressures of this world to sharpen us! So when you feel the pressure just realize you are being sharpened by God!! Remember His ways are higher than ours, we only need to keep our attitudes positive! Love Mel

Romans 8:28 All Things Work Together for Good

Romans 8:28 NIV We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God & are called according to His purpose. —Do you constantly worry about unfinished business, even when it may never happen, except in your mind! Well, with God there is no unfinished business! We must learn to never let the past get in the way of our present. We must learn to count our blessing in the middle of our trials! We must learn to not waist our valuable time doing mental gymnastics! Love Mel

Exodus 2:12 Moses

Moses was spared as a baby from the killing of all Hebrew babies by Pharaoh. He was miraculously found and raised by Pharaohs daughter and Moses served in Pharaoh’s court as a prince. He learned to be a somebody. One day (Exod 2:12) Looking this way & that & seeing no one, he killed an Egyptian beating a Hebrew slave & hid him in the sand. He then had to run away and hide. He hid in the desert for 40 years for training as a humble nobody. This training was so he could become a nobody for somebody – God could then use to bring His people to the promised land! BUT in Num 20:11-12 NIV Then Moses raised his arm & struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, & the community & their livestock drank. But the LORD said to Moses & Aaron, “Because you did not trust in Me enough to honor Me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” —Moses could not enter the promised land with his people because of his anger by not speaking to the rock but hitting it & taking the honor from God!! If one thing we can learn from this, it is to work harder to follow God & let Him have the glory!! Don’t get out ahead of Him!! Really Trust Him!! Love Mel

Ephesians 6:10-18 Our Struggle is Not Against Flesh and Blood

Eph 6:10-18 NIV Finally, BE STRONG in the Lord & in His mighty power. PUT ON the full armor of God, so that you can take your STAND against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh & blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world & against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore PUT ON the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to STAND your ground, & after you have done everything, to STAND. STAND FIRM then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, & with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, TAKE up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. TAKE the helmet of salvation & the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers & requests. With this in mind, BE ALERT & ALWAYS KEEP ON PRAYING for all the Lord’s people. —When bad things happen, we want to despair but Our God tells us to BE STRONG, PUT ON & STAND! And after we have done everything to STAND, then STAND FIRM with His Armor! In addition TAKE & PRAY! Next BE ALERT & ALWAYS KEEP ON PRAYING! That’s it, ALWAYS KEEP ON PRAYING!! Love Mel
