Matthew 6:27 No Benefit in Worrying

Matt 6:27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Matt 6:33-34 Seek first the kingdom of God & His righteousness, & all these things will be added unto you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer & petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 1Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good & acceptable & perfect.  —Depression is caused by our being locked on the past! Anxiety is caused by our being locked on the future! The easiest way to live a worry free life is to realize that we are only promised today! If we will live each day to the fullest, not fretting over the things that we can’t control or do anything about! Each day is a gift from our God! That is why it is called “present”! How many people aren’t excited about opening a present! Well let’s start treating each day as a true gift from God as it is! Life is just too short to trouble over the things that trouble us! The best place for these things are at the feet of Jesus! Remember, when we rest, He works on our behalf! Love Mel

Psalm 36:7 His Steadfast Love Endures Forever

Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good, & His loving devotion endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations. Psalm 103:8 The LORD is compassionate & gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion. Ephesians 2:4 God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us. 1 John 4:19 We love because He first loved us. Deut 31:6 Be strong & courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, & the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Mic 7:7 As for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.—The absolute most important thing we can do is spend time with Jesus! The most important things we can say “I love you Jesus”; “I need you Jesus”! The most important things we must believe “Jesus loves me”;  “He promises to NEVER leave me or forsake me”. He really is the way, the truth & life! Love Mel

Proverbs 29:18 Vision

Prov 29:18 Where there is no VISION, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law. Matt 7:24 Therefore everyone who HEARS these words of Mine & acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. John 13:17 If you KNOW these things, you will be blessed if you DO them. James 1:25 The one who LOOKS intently into the perfect law of freedom, & continues to DO so–not being a forgetful HEARER, but an effective DOER–he will be blessed in what he does! —The things we see, the things we hear & the things we do are for Him, become the very foundation for our wisdom in this life! Becoming an effective DOER is the thing that brings the blessings into our life! Don’t ever ever give up, because He is waiting patiently on us, we only need to start seeing, hearing & doing for Him! Psalm 74:17 The Lord Establishes Boundaries – So Should We!

Psalm 74:17 You have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have made summer & winter. Exodus 23:31 I will fix your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, & from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, & you will drive them out before you. Acts 17:26 He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times & the boundaries of their habitation. Deut 32:8 When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of man, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the sons of Israel. —If God establishes boundaries, then why don’t we do a better job of establishing boundaries in our own lives? Believe it or not, but sometimes the correct answer to some things is NO! There are several excuses to this one response, the complainers in life can’t say NO, the controllers in life can’t hear NO, the Non-responders can’t say yes & the avoiders can’t hear yes! Boundaries are essential to our health! They give balance to life! Sometimes life is like a tug-of-war! How do we stay focused on the important things of God? Jesus struggled & always slipped away to the Father for His strength, Therefore how much more do we need His help! Love Mel

John 3:2 Blessed Are Those Who do Not See But Still Believe

John 3:2 This man came to Jesus by night & said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him. Matt 12:38 Then some of the scribes & Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You”. Mark 13:4 Tell us, when will these things be, & what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished. Matt 24:3 As He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, & what will be the sign of your coming & of the close of the age”.  Judges 6:17 He said to him, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, then show me a sign that it is you who speak with me. —SIGNs —John 20:29 Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen & yet have believed. — We are the blessed ones! The ones who just believe! For we believe even if there are no signs! Just Believe & Be Blessed! Now that’s a sign! Love Mel
