Matthew 25: The Sheep and The Goats – Which One Are We?

From Bill—Hear the words of Jesus from Matt 25. The Sheep & the Goats: 31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, & all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, & He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on His right & the goats on His left. 34”Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry & you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty & you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger & you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes & you clothed me, I was sick & you looked after me, I was in prison & you came to visit me.’ 37”Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry & feed you, or thirsty & give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger & invite you in, or needing clothes & clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison & go to visit you?’ 40”The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers & sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41”Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil & his angels.” — Lets be those on the right! Choosing to be people of heart for our Lord doing for His least! Love Mel

Isaiah 55: His Thoughts and Ways are Higher Than Ours

Isaiah 55:8-9 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My WAYs,” declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My WAYs are higher than your WAYs & My thoughts than your thoughts. Exodus 33:13 Now if indeed I have found favor in Your sight, please let me know Your WAYs, that I may know You & find favor in Your sight. Remember that this nation is Your people. Psalm 103:7 He revealed His WAYs to Moses, His DEEDs to the people of Israel. Psalm 147:19 He declares His WORD to Jacob, His statutes & judgments to Israel. — God reveals to those who diligently seek Him, His ways & His will. God’s ways & His word manifest  Who He is, What He is like, & His purposes! Those who fully seek to know His ways find His spiritual presence. To truly discern God’s ways, we must look past this world into the spiritual one! God calls us to walk in His Ways, & at the heart of Him is the cross. We can spend our lives seeking to experience the DEEDs of God as He showed the people of Israel. Here we see the Lord will bless us with many good things, because God is good. Yet, for those who seek His presence, will never settle here. The only thing that will suffice is to know Him & His ways. It is here where We learn to embrace the loss of worldly things that we might gain A true relationship with Our Savior, Jesus Christ! We stand on Holy ground, so remove your Sandals. Love Mel

Your Calling Must Eclipse Your Circumstance

From Bill– “In the absence of a cause, circumstances will prevail”. This is a quotation from Bishop TD Jakes. He continues: “Your calling must eclipse your circumstance or you will always be who you were. When what is in front of you becomes more important than what is behind you, you will escape. Find the thing that eclipses what you are afraid of.” Search for this calling today. And realize that you and God are enough to accomplish it. As David essentially told Saul when he was offered Saul’s heavy armor, “i don’t  need that, I have enough for this task”. And the last point to ensure victory is to act. Exert some effort. These three steps complete the victory. Decide your purpose no matter how grand or small. Realize with God, you have enough. And exert the effort to accomplish it without fear. Maybe only a few reading this will believe it applies to them. Talk to the Lord about it. “The more we get to know our Creator and the more we love Him (Matthew 22:37–38), the better we understand who we are and what our purpose is. We were created to bring Him glory. God has unique plans and purposes for each person (Psalm 139:13–16), but we can know that, whatever those plans look like, they will ultimately result in His glory (Proverbs 3:6; 1 Corinthians 10:31).” Don’t be under your circumstances, be over them because you have a purpose. — Love Mel

Romans 8: He is the Firstborn Among Many Brothers and Sisters

Romans 8:29 For God knew his people in advance, & He chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers & sisters. Matthew 25:40 The King shall answer & say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me. —So many hurting people in this world! And hurting people hurt people & God! We are His brothers & sisters! We are His children! Think about that just for a moment! — John 1:12 To all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. Romans 8:1 There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Colossians 2:6 Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him. —  If our faith is based on human performance then it is destined to fail. We must learn to walk in Him! We will learn this when we realize who’s we belong to! For as little children, we learn to love & not hurt! Because the hurt with Him no longer hurts, for we know with Him we are safe! Love Mel

Romans 4:5: The Most Important Verse?

From Bill— Romans 4:5 (NKJV) “But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.”  In other words, you cannot make God accept you because of something you do. God accepts sinners only because they have faith in Him. Robert Jeffress considers this the most important verse in the Bible. Remember it. Does the religious person gain entry to heaven? Does the gospel worker impress God unto salvation? Does the martyr gain entry into heaven by virtue of the sacrifice? The Bible teaches us that if salvation could be gained by the works of the law then Christ came and died in vain. Not even 1 percent of salvation is contributed by the believer. Who can be saved then? Those who admit they are ungodly even on their best day. They realize they cannot earn their salvation, and they realize they must trust in Christ to be saved. Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him as righteousness. Believe means to cling to and trust in what God did for us in Christ. Do you believe the chair can hold you? Then sit in it! Do you believe in Gods salvation in Christ? Then put your full weight on Him.  — Love Mel
