John 3:16: For God So Loved The World

John 3:16 For God SO loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. — Our God SO loves! — 1John 4:9 This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. — His love is SO real, He GAVE! Isaiah 30: The Name of The Lord

Isaiah 30:27 Behold, the Name of the LORD comes from afar, with burning anger and dense smoke. His lips are full of fury, and His tongue is like a consuming fire. Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in, LIKE A FLOOD the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Jer 10:6 There is none like You, O LORD; You are great, and great is Your name in might. — There is no one like our God! Love Mel

Conflict Between the Flesh and The Spirit

From Bill- “Two natures beat within my breast. The one is foul, the one is blessed. The one I love, the one I hate. The one I feed will dominate.” – Anonymous. In Romans 7 Paul details this struggle. Letting go and letting God does not mean being hands off with your nature. Decide what you think about. Decide what you do. Don’t let it just happen. One of the fruits of the spirit is self discipline. Abiding in Christ is 100 choices a day. We must be deliberate in our quest to live for God. It does take effort. Mike Murdoch said “you cannot change what you are willing to tolerate”. You need a hunger and thirst for righteousness that creates dissatisfaction with undesirable current tendencies. We heard of the will to win. A crusty old Colonel once taught me about the will to prepare to win. It’s different. What to eat, when to exercise, when to spend time with God, etc. Run with endurance the race God has set before us. The rewards are great.  Love Mel

Feelings Are Fickle – Trust What God Says About You More!

Have you ever heard the saying, “Feelings are fickle”? —2 Cor 10:5 We demolish arguments & every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, & we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. —Do we really take our thoughts from those fickle feelings captive? —Isaiah 43:18-19 Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the NEW thing I am going to do. It is happening already, you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness & give you streams of water there. Isaiah 51:12 I, even I, am He who comforts you. — God is always doing a New Thing! So our job is to watch for it! Love Mel
