Matt 23:11 The greatest among you will be your servant. Matt 20:26 … whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. Matt 16:25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. John 12:25 To hang on to your life is to lose it. To let go of your life is to save it. Mark 10:31 The first will be last and the last first. Matt 5:44 I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.— Jesus teaching in scripture to ponder that are so opposite of what this world would tell us! Ephesians 3: We Can Go Fearlessly Into God’s Presence

Eph 3:12 Because of Christ & our faith in Him, we can now come fearlessly into God’s presence, assured of His glad welcome. Hebr 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy & find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 10:35 So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward. Rom 3:22-23 Righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction, for all have sinned & fall short of the glory of God. — We can now go boldly to the thrown of mercy & grace with confidence! It’s all in our faith in Christ! Love Mel

1 Peter 1: We Are Born Again Unto a Living Hope

Happy New Year! 1 Peter 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, & into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, & unfading, reserved in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. Romans 8:18 Consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us. Eph 2:8 For it is by grace we have been saved through faith, & this not from ourselves ; it is the gift of God. — As the New Year Begins, some scriptures to hold to! We are Shielded by our God’s power & no matter the times ahead none of it compares to the glory to be revealed by our God’s gift! Love Mel

Philipians 4: The Importance of Focus

You focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negative & if things go south, take another shot!” — The word of God tells us some of the same things! —Phil 4:8 inally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. 2 Cor 12:9-10  He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Jer 8:4 So you are to tell them this is what the LORD says: ‘Do men fall and not get up again? Does one turn away and not return? Matt 5:44-45 I tell you, love your enemies & pray for those who persecute you, So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil & on the good, & sends rain on the just & on the unjust. Matt 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Luke 6:35 Love your enemies, do good to them, & lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, & you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful & wicked. Phil 2:15 So that you may be blameless & pure, children of God without fault in a crooked & perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world. — How to be pleasing to the most HighGod, is to love all, bring peace to all kinds of situations, & doing good even to those who don’t do in return!
