Rick Renner’s 7 Things to Do Every Day to Get and Stay Spiritually Strong. Here is the next one. The first three were shared in yesterday’s devo. 4. Spend time with others who strengthen your soul. Are you taking care of everyone but yourself? Hebrews 10:25 tells us to “forsake not the assembling of yourselves”. This should be done daily if possible. They should exhort and encourage you. Who is that person in your life who encourages you to stand strong and to keep fighting the good fight of faith? Who tells you when you are off track. You may have to initiate such a relationship. Psalm 54:4 David says “behold God is My Helper” AND “the Lord is with THEM that uphold my soul”. Ecc 4:9 says “two are better than one” and “a threefold cord is not easily broken”. In Gal 6:2 Paul tells us to “bear one another’s burdens”. Don’t carry your burdens alone. More tomorrow!
7 Things to Do Each Day to Stay Spiritually Strong (Part 1)
Rick Renners 7 things to do every day to stay spiritually strong. He learned these after a time in his life when he was emotionally and spiritually depleted. 1. Spend time with God every day IN THE MORNING. First thing. 2. Feed your spirit on other sources. In 2 Tim 4:13 Paul says to Timothy while in prison “bring me my books and parchments”. Reading books from other people feeds your spirit. He wanted parchments because he “journaled” and wrote. 3. Spend time every day in quietness. Stay in touch with yourself. It will keep you on the right path. “Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart”. Find and pursue your hearts desire. Go for a walk. Go into the restroom. Do it in bed in the morning. … More to follow tomorrow.
Isaiah 43:1-2: Do Not Fear For God is With Us
Isaiah 43:1-2 Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; & when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, & the flames will not set you ablaze. Dan 3:19-20 Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, & the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego. He gave orders to heat the furnace seven times hotter than usual, & he commanded some mighty men of valor in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego & throw them into the blazing fiery furnace. Dan 3:22 The king’s command was so urgent & the furnace so hot that the fiery flames killed the men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego! — The flames killed those that were not redeemed! But the ones that were protected by God, did not even smell of smoke! We too are called by God & with a willingness to follow Him, we can withstand the flames of life! Let’s have the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego! Love Mel
The Rapture
Will Christ come back for His church in the rapture? Consider this. In the Hebrew culture the wedding was a major event. The groom offers the bride a cup of wine. If she drinks it they are betrothed. They spend some time together. The groom leaves gifts including some money and material for the making of the wedding dress while he goes to his fathers house to prepare an addition to the house where they will live. The bride prepares for his surprise return on a date that the grooms father decides and directs. The groom is to return at midnight on an unannounced date and the marriage and marriage supper begin. Christ came, spent time with us and showed us our God, He left us with the Holy Spirit to prepare us, and He will return on a date only known to our father in Heaven. Then we will become His bride and enjoy the marriage supper of the lamb. Will he come for us? There is no doubt. Nothing in scripture is random. Let’s be ready for the grooms return.
1 John 4:7: Love One Another as He Has Loved Us
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, & whoever loves has been born of God & knows God. 1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us. 1 Cor 13:4-8 Love is patient & kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. —Love lives on, so if you can plant this one seed it will bloom & live on forever! Lets all become great gardeners of this one thing! Love Mel
