Who is Truly Saved

From John MacArthurs Book “Hard to Believe”. “Every presentation of the gospel must end with a warning of doom to the one who rejects it. Mere saying and hearing are no proof that a person’s faith is authentic; real faith is visible in the one who does. There are times when all of us will stumble into a sin, but if unrepentant sin is the pattern of your life, you’re not in His kingdom. See if you’re in this list from 1 Corinthians 6:9–10: “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not enter the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor coveters, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” If you’re not on that list, look at the one in Galatians 5:19–21: “adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like . . . those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” And there are plenty more lists of human sins that keep people out of heaven. Who gets in, then? The few who truly repent of their sins; the few who find the narrow gate.” More tomorrow.

Jeremiah 31:35: The Lord Sets the Stars in Place

Jer 31:35 Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for light by day & the fixed order of the moon & the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The Lord of hosts is His name. Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun to its setting, The name of the Lord is to be praised. Ecc 11:7 The light is pleasant, & it is good for the eyes to see the sun. Prov 4:18 But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter & brighter until the full day. — Increasing power, continual growth to a brighter & brighter life is what a believers life looks like! — John 15:4 Abide in Me, & I in you; so shall ye bring forth much fruit.’ Ellicotts primary, “The true life flows from Him to every branch that abides in Him, quickening by its power the whole man, and making him fruitful in good.” — When we choose to abide in Him we can find that fruitful life! Numbers 6: 24-26: The Blessing God Gave to His People

Numbers 6:24-26 May The Lord bless you & keep you; may the Lord make his face to shine upon you & be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up his countenance upon you & give you His peace. James 1:17 Every good gift & every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. 3John1:2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you & that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. Psalm 118:24 24 This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice & be glad in it. —Hope your day has been blessed! As my brother always says, “everyday is a blessing”! So let’s rejoice & be glad in it! Love Mel

Psalm 112: The Man That Fears The Lord

The man that feareth the Lord shall be blessed. Psalm 112 “Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. 7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. 8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. 9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. 10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.” Fearing God is good because it helps us stay on the right path and to obey. Fearing God does not just mean awe and respect, it also means we need to obey Him or risk the chastisement of God as His children. He whom He loves, He chastiseth. Better to avoid this 😁. Fear God and keep His commandments, and we will be established.

Isaiah 1:18-19: If You Are Willing and Obedient…

Isaiah 1:18-19 “Come now, & let us reason together, says the LORD. Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will become like wool. If you are willing & obedient, you will eat the best of the land. — Our God reasons with us! That is the good news & His reasoning is one of grace & mercy–‘Repent, & be forgiven”! — Isaiah 43:25 I, yes I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake & remembers your sins no more. — And He does it because He cares for us! —Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud, & your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you. — He is a redeeming God! Redeem meaning, He paid the price for our sins with His own blood! We are redeemed, that is worth shouting about! Hallelujah! Love Mel
