Hebr 11:4-7 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: & by it he being dead yet speaketh. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; & was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, & that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. — By Faith it is possible to please Him! Matt 10:28 (KJV) “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Its important to keep things in perspective. How many great people have gone on before us and are all but totally forgotten. They were king of the hill in so many areas and the world revolved around them. They are gone now. 100 years after we are gone none of it will matter. The answer is simple. Place your trust in Christ. Know that “only to the cross I cling”. And let us check ourselves to see if our love and gratitude to our Savior results in a lifestyle change to try to do what He says and to become more like Him. When we often fail we confess and trust again. If so, all is well. “Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven”.

Eph 2:4-10 God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved & raised us up with Him & seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. & this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. — We are His workmanship! & His saving grace is His free Gift to us! Matt 22:36-37 (KJV)Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, & with all thy mind. Prov 3:1-4 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, & long life, & peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy & truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour & good understanding in the sight of God & man. Deut 6:4-5 Hear, ……..: The LORD our God is one LORD: & thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soul, & with all thy might. Deut 4:29 (ESV) from there you will seek the LORD your God & you will find Him, if you search after Him with all your heart & with all your soul. — Finding God is a heart, & soul matter! Psalm 1:1-3 (KJV) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; & in his law doth he meditate day & night. & he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; & whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. — When we choose our Gods ways over mans ways we will find His blessings! We must always remember that mans so called blessings are always shallow & unfulfilling, but the blessings that come from God are eternal. Choose God! Love Mel
