The Importance of Praise and Thanksgiving

Examine Yourself to See if You Are in the Faith
Who is your first love? —2 Cor13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed you fail to meet the test. — We should always consider “The One” who loved us so much that He gave Himself for us! Just knowing this one thing opens the door for us to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul! The Seven Churches and Us!
Have you ever looked at the seven churches in Revelation to see what they were lacking? —Ephesus was the church that had abandoned its first love (Revelation 2:4). Smyrna was the church that would face severe persecution (Revelation 2:10). Pergamum was the church that needed to repent of sin (Revelation 2:16). Thyatira was the church whose false prophetess was leading people astray (Revelation 2:20). Sardis was the sleeping church that needed to wake up (Revelation 3:2). Philadelphia was the church that had patiently persevered (Revelation 3:10). Laodicea was the church with lukewarm faith (Revelation 3:16). — The key here is to put Christ first, repent, stay awake, & don’t be fooled by the pleasures of this world! Love Mel
Without Faith it is Impossible to Please God
