What Type of Soil Are You?

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)For the word of God is quick, & powerful, & sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul & spirit, & of the joints & marrow, & is a discerner of the thoughts & intents of the heart. Luke8:5-8 A sower went out to sow his seed: & as he sowed, some fell by the way side; & it was trodden down, & the fowls of the air devoured it. & some fell upon a rock; & as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. & some fell among thorns; & the thorns sprang up with it, & choked it. & other fell on good ground, & sprang up, & bare fruit an hundredfold. — The seed is the Word! Which soil are we? Take care to nurture your gift from God – the gospel.

Your Body is Now The Temple of God!

1 Cor 3:16 (ESV)Do you not know that you are God’s temple & that God’s Spirit dwells in you? Rom 8:11 If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Deut 31:8 It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.— Our God chooses to live on the inside of us & He refers to our body as His Temple! On top of that He promised to never leave us or forsake us! And He tells us to not fear or be dismayed! In life when the curve ball comes our way, we must keep our eyes on the ball & swing expecting to knock it out of the park. A great batter never goes to the plate in fear! God tells us to STAND FIRM. Love Mel

Thanksgiving is Important to God

1 Thess 5:18 (all KJV) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Chron 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever. Col 3:17 whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. — Our world needs to learn to be thankful! Thankfulness can be a blessing from God, because it embraces the will of God. As we learn to embrace His will we find that grace that is truly above all else. Remember, An attitude of gratitude will move you to a higher level of living this life. Discontent & negativity always brings a person to a lower level. So during these holidays, let’s agree to come up higher. Don’t forget He delights to hear: “Thank you.” Love Mel

The Marriage of the Bride and The Lamb of God

In the Jewish wedding festival the groom betrothed his bride. Then he gave her a gift. Then he left to go to his fathers house to build their dwelling place. Then at a time, known only to his father, he went back to get his bride, have the wedding, and bring her to their new home. This is why knowing the old ways enlightens scripture to us. The bride – Rev 21:9 (KJV): “And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” The gift – Jn 16:7 ((KJV) “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” The house – Jn 14:2 “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” The return – Mt 24 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” —See any similarities? You can’t make this stuff up. Rejoice that your names are written in the book of life. Love Mel

Watch Your Words! They Tell Everyone About Who You Really Are!

Mt 12:36 (KJV) “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” What is an idle word? I heard a preacher say “an idle word is a word that does not have a kingdom purpose”. Makes sense! It is a wasted word. The message? Focus your words and use them carefully with a purpose. “37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Why is that? Because Our words reveal what is in our hearts. Listen to yourself and take your “vocal temperature”. Do you speak faith or doubt, hope or dread, love or indifference? Prob 18:20 (KJV) “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” Heb 13:15: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
