The Feast of Trumpets

From Bill—Fall Feast Number 1 is the Feast of Trumpets. (Sept 30-Oct 1) Lev 23 “Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.’ ” This is the only festival that falls on the first day of a Biblical month. That means it cannot be known in advance which day the new moon will appear. Today the rabbis set aside two days for this event. In Matt 24:36 Yeshua says “no man will know the day or the hour”. This is the perfect setup for the eventual return of Yeshua. The trumpet announces the coming of the king. Always be ready.— From Mel— Called Yom T’rooah-The Day of Trumpets is celebrated as the Jewish New Year. Apples are dipped in honey representing God’s goodness & sweetness for the coming new year. In Exodus 19, the sound of a shofar from heaven grew louder and louder so that the people who stood at the base of Mt. Sinai began to tremble. Then God spoke, and more than a million Israelites heard the audible voice of God at the same time. Can you imagine? In 1 Thessalonians 4:16, God again blows His shofar from heaven, as Jesus the Messiah returns to the world manifesting the glory of God! A shout of praise is called for on this day He saves the world. Our king is alive. Love Mel

The Fall Feasts

Should We Be Observing the Biblical Holydays? The Feast Days are God’s Appointed Times for His People. We have been blessed to see Christ in the Holydays & how they ALL point to Him. — From Bill. The Lord has three festivals or holidays a year. They are found, among other places, in Lev 23.  “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.”  In the seventh month, the month of Tishri which on our calendar starts this year on or about 30 Sep, we have the Fall Feasts. They are The Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah which occurs on the first day of the seventh month at the new moon, the Day of Atonement on the 10th day, the Festival of Booths or Tabernacles on the 14th thru the 21st day & finally the Last Great Day on the 22nd. As Christians we are not under the law of Moses unto righteousness or salvation. We obtain our right standing with God by faith in Jesus Christ. Yet to miss the meaning of these festivals is to miss some of the amazing prophecies we find in scripture. The festivals are shadow pictures of things to come. The Fall Festivals were partially fulfilled when Christ came to earth. Their final fulfillment will come when He returns again. The trump will sound, judgement upon the earth will come after the church is removed, & Christ will rule & reign. Trumpets, Atonement & Tabernacles. Read Lev 23 for the original text. —Love Mel

Isaiah 53:4-5 The Suffering Servant

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely He hath borne our griefs (Hebrew: sicknesses) & carried our sorrows (Hebrew: pains) yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God & afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; & by His stripes we are healed. Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health unto you, & I will heal you of your wounds, saith the Lord. Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers us out of them all. Hebr 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. — Christ suffered for us! That is for our salvation & our healing! He delivers us from it all. He is our go between, the one that makes intercession for us. He is doing spiritual warfare for us! Knowing that life is a battle, we must always be prepared with the FULL ARMOR of God. For the enemy roams around looking for whom he may devour! But thru God we have the victory, if we never ever give up! Love Mel

Mark 6: 5-6 Unbelief Limits God!

Mark 6:5-6 Jesus] could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people & healed them. & He marveled because of their UNBELIEF. & He went about among the villages teaching. —Q:John Calvin, “Unbelievers, as far as lies in their power, bind up the hands of God by their obstinacy; not that God is overcome, as if he were an inferior, but because they do not permit Him to display His power.” — The power of UNBELIEF binds the hands of God in many respects! There are so many things that give power to this! —Mark 9:21-24 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But IF you can do anything, take pity on us & help us.” “ ‘IF you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my UNBELIEF!” — It is the IF’s that get in the way of our believing! But IF we are willing to humble ourselves & request His help, then we can get thru the UNBELIEF, in spite of the outcome. Because Heaven is the final destination where the answer of perfection has always been & will always be! So if by chance we are blessed to see His mighty hand at work on this earth, then we can only know that there is more work to be done here! And always give thanks & Glory Be to our Savior! Love Mel

Deuteronomy 31:6 Do Not be Afraid

Deut 31:6 Be strong & courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. John 14:16-17 I will ask the Father, & He will GIVE you another Helper, to be with you FOREVER, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you & will be in you.
Matt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I will be also. Matt 28:20 And surely I AM with you ALWAYS, to the very end of the age. Romans 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Have you ever felt as you were all alone? I have some good news! He is ALWAYS with us! No matter what. He Gives, He Never Leaves, & He is a Forever God who Loves us! Love Mel
