Luke 17: 11-19 The Ten Lepers

Luke 17:11-19 On the way to Jerusalem He was passing along between Samaria & Galilee. & as He entered a village, He was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance & lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” When He saw them He said to them, “Go & show yourselves to the priests.” & as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when He saw that He was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; & he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” & He said to him, “Rise & go your way; your faith has made you well.”—why only one? True Thankfulness is the real evidence of our faith! And Great thankfulness moves the heart of God! When we really believe the word of God, there will be proof in our actions! God gives us the opportunity to be thankful everyday, & it is up to us to act! Be thankful & have a blessed day! Love Mel

Psalm 91 The Lord’s Protection Psalm

Psalm 91 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge & my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For He will deliver me from the snare of the fowler & from the deadly pestilence. He will cover me with His pinions, & under His wings I will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield & buckler. I will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that lays wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. I will only look with my eyes & see the recompense of the wicked. Because I have made the LORD my dwelling place—the Most High, my refuge—no evil shall befall me, no plague shall come near my dwelling. For He gives His angels charge over me to guard me in all my ways. On their hands they will bear me up, lest I strike my foot against a stone. I will tread on the lion & the adder; the young lion & the serpent I will trample underfoot. “Because I hold fast to Him in love, He will deliver me; He will protect me, because He knows my name. When I  call to Him, He will answer me; He will be with me in trouble; He will rescue me & honor Me. With long life He will satisfy me & show me His salvation.” — The Psalm has been written for each to read as promises from Our God! Especially take note of His promises as a direct result of our holding fast to Him in Love! He even knows our names! Love Mel

St Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! St Patrick was kidnaped at the age of 16 from Britain & sold into slavery in Ireland. He was in captivity until age 20. He received a dream from God who directed him to go to the coast, where he found some sailors who took him back to his homeland, Britain. This is where he received his call into the ministry. He went into a monastery to study for 15 years, then he returned to Ireland as a missionary! He is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland! He faced much opposition from the cults of that day in Ireland! Q,from his biography, The Confession, he wrote, “The love of God and his fear grew in me more and more, as did the faith, and my soul was rosed, so that, in a single day, I have said as many as a hundred prayers and in the night, nearly the same. I prayed in the woods and on the mountain, even before dawn. I felt no hurt from the snow or ice or rain.” It is believed that he used shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity and entire kingdoms were eventually converted to Christianity after hearing Patrick’s message. The Breastplate,” Patrick’s poem of faith and trust in God: “Christ be within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ inquired, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.” —Have a blessed day! Always willing to be used by God, never holding to our circumstances but keep a willing heart during the good times & the hard times! Love Mel

Ephesians 6:12 We Wrestle Against Demonic Forces, Not People

Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh & blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the spiritual powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal, kill & destroy. I came that they may have life & have it abundantly. Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents, scorpions, & over all the power of the enemy, & nothing shall hurt you. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, & he will flee from you. — There is a fight going on!! A wrestling match! All wrestling matches are struggles! But we have His promise of abundant life! And the promise that no-thing can hurt us! Life may be a struggle but with God we are on the winning side of that struggle!! Now that is worth shouting about! Love Mel

Ephesians 2:10 We Are Created to Do His Works

Eph 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Phil 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. — We are His work & for our lifetime He will continue to mold us & make us into that perfect image of His dear Son!! —Isaiah 64:8 Now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, & You are our potter; we are all the work of Your hand. — In order for Him to mold us & make us, we must be pliable! With a willing heart & mind, in the hands of the master we can be all things that He planned for us to be!! To be is to choose Him over this world!! That is to be a Masterpiece. Love Mel
