Matt 13:24-30 The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came & sowed weeds among the wheat & went away. So when the plants came up & bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. & the servants of the master of the house came & said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go & gather them?’ He said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, & at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first & bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.” — Wheat or Chaff we have a choice! They both grow together, but eventually the two will be separated! Chaff is separated from grain during threshing. The threshing floor in ancient Israel used these agricultural spaces where crops are threshed and winnowed to release the grain. The threshing floor is considered a place of blessings & judgement, with the grain being the blessing & the chaff judgement. — Psalm 1:3-4 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season & its leaf does not wither; & in whatever he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff which the wind drives away. — We must be like the tree planted by the streams of God. He must be our continued source. Love Mel

Pay Attention to the Little Things
Song of Sol 2:15 Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom. Luke 16:10 One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. Matt 25:21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ — God knows & understands the difficulties of man, He looks at our heart intentions! It is the little things that spoil the vine! Some questions to ponder! Do we try our best? Are we sorry for our sin? Do we pray for God’s forgiveness? Do we try to stop our flesh from doing wrong? Do we try to please Him? When we learn to be faithful over the little things, He will give us more to be faithful over! Remember it is all a heart matter! Love Mel
The Lord is a Shield About Me
David’s prayer for deliverance:
Psalm 3:1-8 O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah
But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah Love Mel
Be The One Who Trust No Matter What
Gen 25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread & lentil stew, & he ate & drank & rose & went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. Ex 16:2-3 The whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses & Aaron in the wilderness, & the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots & ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” Num 13:30-31 Caleb quieted the people before Moses & said, “Let us go up at once & occupy it(The Promise Land), for we are well able to overcome it.” Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.” Num14:2 All the people of Israel grumbled against Moses & Aaron. — As the story goes Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of stew. The Israelites wanted to go back to slavery under the Egyptians. Because of all their grumbling & complaining they missed getting to go into the promised land. There were two, Joshua & Caleb that trusted God & believed that ALL things are possible with God. We too, today can be the ones that truly trust in His greatness to overcome the giants or we can trade our freedom for a handout or a bowl of stew! It is all about choice. Our choice. Love Mel
