1 Cor 13:2 (NIV) If I have the gift of prophecy & can fathom all mysteries & all knowledge, & if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have LOVE, I am nothing. Rom 12:9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of SINS. Prov 10:12 Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over ALL wrongs. — Without LOVE we have NOTHING! Love has the power to cover & forgive all wrongs. No matter what choosing love aligns us with God’s will & promotes good, covers sin & ALL wrongs! So what is LOVE?— 1 Cor 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. The Seventh Day
Gen 2:2 (ESV) On the seventh day God finished His work that He had done, & He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done. Hebr4:9-10 There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. Matt 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who are weary & burdened, & I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you & learn from Me, for I am gentle & humble in heart, & you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy & My burden is light.” — God created, then He rested! I believe that He must have marveled at His creation, and we too should marvel at His creation! This rest that He made for us to continue to marvel at His creation will bring joy to our hearts if we can just slowdown & take it all in. Here we have the opportunity to see the testament to our creator God. — Rom 1:20For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power & divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. — Spend some time marveling at His creation you will be glad you did! Treasure in Heaven
1 John 2:17 (ESV)The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test & approve what is the good, pleasing, & perfect will of God. 2 Cor 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Col3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Hebr 10:36 You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. —Are we going to do what we want now & enjoy the world’s benefits for a brief time or are we going to do what God says & enjoy the greatest benefits for all eternity? Choose Heaven by storing treasures in heaven! — Matt 6:20 Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys & where thieves do not break in & steal. Love Mel
An Example for Us All
Horatio Gates Spafford Spafford invested in real estate north of Chicago in the spring of 1871. The Great Fire of Chicago that reduced the city to ashes, destroyed most of Spafford’s investments in Oct 1871. Two years later the family planned a trip to Europe. Mr Spafford was unable to leave at the same time as his family. The family’s ship was struck by an Iron sailing vessel. Mr Spafford’s four daughters were killed in the accident. Mr Spafford was inspired to write the hymn “It is well with my soul” on his trip to Europe to join his grieving wife. Below are the lyrics to the song!

Renew Your Mind – Put on God’s Armor
Rom 12:2 (ESV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable & perfect. 1Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Eph 6:16-18 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; & take the helmet of salvation, & the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer & supplication.
—The battle in this world is real! It is a daily fight whether we see it or not! The battle is in the mind, that is why God tells us to guard our minds! Satan prowls around looking for whom he may devour, but Gods promises are available to those who will seek them out! Believe, Believe, Believe!! He tells us to take up the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit (which is the word of God) These are battle field weapons used to fight! We must choose to stand firm on Gods word to overcome the evil against us, our family, our friends & our country! Remember no matter what it looks like Gods army will win in the end! Love Mel
