Rejoice That God Knows You!

Jer 9:23 (ESV)Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man boast (TRUST) in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast (TRUST) in his might, let not the rich man boast (TRUST) in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands (TRUST) & knows Me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, & righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD.” Prov 3:5-6 (ESV)Trust in the LORD with all your heart, & do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, & He will make straight your paths. Jer 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who TRUSTs in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, & does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, & is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit. — To TRUST in Him & Him only is the key lesson that we must learn. And don’t forgetHe delights in LOVE, JUSTICE, & RIGHTEOUSNESS! Love Mel

Doing it God’s Way!

God was very specific about the Ark of the Covenant & How it was to be moved! —Num 4:5 When the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, & his sons, & they shall take down the covering veil, & cover the ark of testimony with it: Num 4:15 (KJV) When Aaron & his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, & all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall NOT TOUCH any holy thing, lest they DIE. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.— David wanted the Ark in his camp so they go to move it! When he tries to move it man’s way, it goes from joy to sorrow!  —2 Sam 6:2-3 David arose & went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God,…. & they set the ark of God upon a new cart & brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: & Uzzah & Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. 2 Sam 6:6 When they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, & took hold of it; for the oxen shook it & the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; & God smote him there for his error; & there he DIED by the ark of God. — David then goes to the scripture to find the instructions God gave for moving the ark & it was successful. — 2 Sam 6:12-15 It was told…. So David went & brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness. & it was so, that when they that BARE the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen & fatlings & David danced before the LORD with ALL his might; & David was girded with a linen ephod. So David & all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, & with the sound of the trumpet. — It is so important that we do things God’s way not man’s way! Love Mel

Sowing and Reaping

Gal 6:7 (ESV)Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 2 Cor 9:6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, & whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Prov 11:24-25 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, & only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, & one who waters will himself be watered. Matt 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Matt 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. — We all know that Sowing seeds produce harvests. So we should Sow the things of God to harvest the things that make life worth living. Sow love to reap love; sow mercy to reap mercy; sow forgiveness to reap forgiveness; we should sow to the spirit to reap eternal life. If we can remember this one principle, we can change our future for all of eternity. Love Mel

Our God Goes Before Us

Acts 7:38 Ex 13:21-22 (KJV) The LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; & by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day & night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. Ex 14:30-31 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; & Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore. & Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: & the people feared the LORD, & believed the LORD, & his servant Moses. Deut 9:3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is He which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire He shall destroy them, & He shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, & destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee. John 14:3 If I go & prepare a place for you, I will come again, & receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.— We serve a God who goes before us, a God who protects & defends us against the enemy. He is truly a saving God. He has a plan & He even promised to prepare a place for us. We need only trust & believe. Love Mel

The Feasts of The Lord

Lev 23:1-2 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,  “Speak to the people of Israel & say to them, These are the APPOINTED FEASTs of the Lord that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are MY APPOINTED FEASTs. — Have you ever considered Gods APPOINTED FEASTs as being important or even thought just maybe those are the ones we might want to celebrate to honor Him, since they are His FEASTS! So what are Gods APPOINTED FEASTs? Sabbath; new moon observance; Passover; Feast of Unleavened Bread; Feast of Weeks; Feast of Trumpets; Day of Atonement; & Feast of Tabernacles.  A nice summary of each is found at the following link. Also, it is good to know that these festivals are a shadow picture of the fulfillment of His son for our sins. What a beautiful story of what is hidden within the dates that are His Feast days! Maybe it is way more important than we have been lead to believe. Love Mel https://www.gotquestions.org/appointed-times.html
