Hebr 10:19-22 (ASV) Wherefore, my brethren, since by virtue of the blood of Jesus we have the liberty of entering into the holy of holies, by a new & living way which He has first open’d for us, thro’ the veil, that is, thro’ His flesh; & having an high priest, who is established over the house of God. Let us draw near with sincerity, in full assurance of faith, having our consciences purified from guilt, & our bodies washed with pure water. Mark 15:38 (ESV) The curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. — Jesus atoned for our sins & made the way to the Father! What a blessing we have been given! Covenant with Jesus
Covenant – the Hebrew meaning a binding agreement, a legal contract. God made a covenant with Abraham, the father of many nations. Then Jesus came & brought with Him a new covenant. Our Covenant today is a sacred agreement between God and His children sealed by the blood of His son Jesus! We have been made righteous thru the blood of Jesus. By The oath of God, Himself, He made an agreement/bond with us, that requires us to SIMPLY BELIEVE! There is so much hope in these words! —Rev 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” — A day is coming when our Father will rid sin & satan from this world forever. There are promises that He offers for all eternity. To focus on the world to come opens up a door that can’t be shut. A life filled with a peace that can’t be bought. Health that will never fail. He is the only answer that will fill our hearts with the hope that we are searching for! SIMPLY BELIEVE! Love Mel
Praying for Revival? Is it Happening?
We just had a massive hurricane. There is much uncertainty in the world. There is loss and pain and the threat of war. Just for a moment let us assume that life is not all about happiness. Many reading this understand exactly what i mean. Let us assume that a quiet and comfortable world is not always the best environment for the plan of God to be fulfilled. Let us assume that REVIVAL comes when people seek God, and that people seek God far more diligently in times of uncertainty and tribulation. Let us assume that political turmoil, war and the persecution of the believer in history were the times when the church grew the most. Q: Do the times in which we live make more sense now – since we are praying so hard for revival in our country and the world? For some reason peace and prosperity lull most people into a spirit of complacency. Make no mistake, we all need to stay humble and thankful for every good day. We must pray and work for the good and the right and the just to be accomplished in our world. But remember – Jn 4:35 says “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” Be ready in these difficult times to help bring in the harvest of souls. May God protect us – as He uses these man made and Satan made times of personal and national peril to bring in the final harvest of those that will be His. May God bless and comfort us in our pain when it comes – and may He give us many more good days of refreshing and joy. Love Mel
The Good and the Bad Times
Isaiah 43:2 (ESV) When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; & through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, & the flame shall not consume you. Psalm 32:6 (BSB) Therefore let all the godly pray to You while You may be found. Surely when great waters rise, they will not come near. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge & strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. — We all have seen times of trouble, worry or fear in our lives or those we love, especially in todays world. We see it every time we turn on the tv! But when you see the hand of God move, experience a second chance, or are touched by His grace or mercy, it is truly a WOW factor!—Lam 3:22-24 (BSB)Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness! The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” — And there is the key “therefore I will hope in Him.” Totally amazing! The Feast of Trumpets
Gen 22:2 (ESV) He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, & go to the land of Moriah, & offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Gen 22:8 Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together. When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there & laid the wood in order & bound Isaac his son & laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then Abraham reached out his hand & took the knife to slaughter his son. But the angel of the LORD called to him from heaven & said, “Abraham, Abraham!” & he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” & Abraham lifted up his eyes & looked, & behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. & Abraham went & took the ram & offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. — Feast of Trumpets Lev 23:24 Speak to the people of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation. —Heaven & Earth meet at the blowing of the Rams Horn! It is said that the sound of the horn confuses Satan. It opened heaven for Abraham & Isaac! It is our fear of God, & our willingness not to withhold anything from Him! The more we choose Him, the more that He can intervene in this world on our behalf! It also represents Gods sacrifice of His only Son for our sins! So blow your Rams horn knowing God has provided the final Sacrifice! The price has been paid! Love Mel
