Luke 10:29-37 (ESV) But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, & he fell among robbers, who stripped him & beat him & departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, & when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place & saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, & when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him & bound up his wounds, pouring on oil & wine. Then he set him on his own animal & brought him to an inn & took care of him. & the next day he took out two denarii & gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, & whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’ Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” & Jesus said to him, “You go, & do likewise.” Romans 8:28 All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.. —When we are willing to love like Jesus, no problems will overwhelm us, because we know all things work to the good of those called by Him to His purpose! Sometimes we entangle ourselves with our purpose! Seek 1st His kingdom! Love Mel
The Blessing of Weakness!
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT) Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work thru me.” 1 Cor 2: 3-5 I came to you in weakness—timid & trembling. & my message & my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever & persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak & strength to the powerless. Hebrews 4:15-16 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, & we will find grace to help us when we need it most. — Our weakness opens the door that allows us to Come Boldly to the throne of His Grace! Hallelujah! That is truly worth rejoicing over! Love Mel

Gen 2:15 The Lord God took the man & put him in the garden of Eden to work it & keep it. Col 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord & not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Eccl 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might,… Eph 4:28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. Psalm 90:17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, & establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands. — Work & our ability to accomplish it, is truly a blessing & reward from God, especially when we do it unto Him. People affected by economic downturns or can’t find employment or those who have the inability to perform work due to physical limitations, would love to be able to. Don’t forget to Whistle while you work! I promise it will make you smile & others around you! Love Mel
The New Year!
Phil 3:13-14 (ESV) This one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind & straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Luke 9:62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow & looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” Eccl 12:12-14 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, & much study is a weariness of the flesh. The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God & keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. — Those are the words from the wisest man that ever lived, Solomon! Just maybe we too can find some wisdom from his words! As for a New Years Resolution consider the following, Let’s Be the Best! Do the Best! Think the Best! Speak the Best! Hope the Best! Pray the Best! To Bring Honor to God! Please ALL Pray for a Blessed New Year 2023! Love Mel

The old has passed away; behold, the NEW has come. Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I am doing a NEW thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the re-NEWal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good & acceptable & perfect. Eph 4:22-24 Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life & is corrupt through deceitful desires, & to be re-NEWed in the spirit of your minds, & to put on the NEW self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness & holiness. — Since the New year is upon us, wanted you all to have some scripture at hand for what is NEW in the word of God!
