1 Thes 5:16-18 (ESV)Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Phil 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer & supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. & the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts & your minds in Christ Jesus. Rom 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Luke 18:1 He told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray & not lose heart. — Prayer is communing with God! And this is the will of God for us! When we do spend time in prayer, He promises us His peace as a guard for our heart & mind! How many of you worry about everything? Well I want you to try to change & pray about everything & worry about nothing. After all He promised us peace when we do! Matt 6:27 (BSB) Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Matt 6:26 Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns—& yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matt 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. Luke 10:41-42 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord replied, “you are worried & upset about many things. But only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, & it will not be taken away from her. — Mary chose to sit at the feet of Jesus listening! How is your time listening at the feet of Jesus? Quote by, Epictetus, a Greek philosopher: “Someone has observed that God gave us two ears & one mouth—it stands to reason that we should listen twice as much as we speak!” With social media, some have made speaking their mind a competitive sport. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid. Rom 8:37 (ESV) In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. — Who or what shall separate us from the love of Christ? Do you agree with Rom 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. — We must remember that our God is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow, so if you want to overcome the world, then stick with Him! Rom 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, & we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, & endurance produces character, & character produces hope, & hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. — We are to rejoice in hope! Where does our Hope come from? —Psalm 62:5-6 Yes, my soul, finds rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock & my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. Rom 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. — It is clear that our Hope comes from HIM! Nehemiah 4:1 (ESV)Now when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry & greatly enraged, & he jeered at the Jews. Neh 4:7 When Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, & the Ashdodites heard that the repairing of the walls of Jerusalem was going forward & that the breaches were beginning to be closed, they were very angry. Neh 4:8-9 They all plotted together to come & fight against Jerusalem & to cause confusion in it. & we prayed to our God & set a guard as a protection against them day & night. — the enemy wants to stop the work of God! —Nehemiah 6:3 I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work & I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” — The word here is to push thru the obstacles that come against us to stop our good works! Don’t Stop!
