James 1:22-24 (NIV)Do not merely listen to the word, & so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror &, after looking at himself, goes away & immediately forgets what he looks like. James 2:14 What good is it, my brothers & sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Psalm 37:3 (ESV)Trust in the Lord, & do good; dwell in the land & befriend faithfulness. Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Gal 6:9-10 Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, & especially to those who are of the household of faith. — Do GOOD to everyone! & Do Not grow weary of doing GOOD! Col 3:23-24  (ESV)Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord & not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Prov 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, & your plans will be established. 1 Cor 4:12 We labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure. — Hard work is something that was just part of life growing up in Mississippi. But when we work as though we are working for God & not man, it is here we can learn to bless those who may revile us or even persecute us! —Matt 5:10Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:44 I say to you, Love your enemies & pray for those who persecute you. — God tells us to bless those who persecute us! This becomes easier when we realize that that opens the door for God to in turn bless us! Just remember when we let go of our offenses & bless our offender, then our Heavenly Father has promised to bless us! Love Mel

John 8:12 Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Matt 5:15-16 People do not light a lamp & put it under a basket, but on a stand, & it gives light to all in the house. In the same way Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works & give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Prov 4:18 The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter & brighter until full day. John 12:36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light! — Are you a light in this dark world? God wants us to lead His people to the light! We are to be a restorer, a light on a hill! And God longs to shine His way thru us making an even brighter light for this dark world. His light is “THE LIFE” we all long for! Choose to follow His light! Run from all counterfeits, they only lead to death. Love Mel

Titus 1:16 They profess to know God, but they deny Him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work. 2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, & will turn away from listening to the truth & wander off into myths. Prov 16:8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice. Prov 12:26 One who is righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.  —We must remember that Within each of us is a longing for acceptance, love, respect etc! In this world we tend to replace it with counterfeit things, people, work, religion, recreation, drugs etc, when all along this internal longing was meant for God! He placed it inside of us & He is the only one that can fully meet these needs completely! Run from evil, run to God! For it is He who can save us from all evil! Love Mel

2 Peter 2:7 If He rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked. — Are you greatly distressed by the unrighteous conduct of those around you? — 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful & just to forgive us our sins & to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. — He is the only one that can cleanse us from our unrighteousness. The question is, Is this nation & its people willing to turn? —Matt 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide & the way is easy that leads to destruction, & those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow & the way is hard that leads to life, & those who find it are few. — Will you choose the easy way or the hard way? Are you willing to put His ways above yours? Are you willing to  choose the way of the world or will you choose His kingdom of righteousness? His ways lead to life, & life eternal! Fight for righteousness, you will be glad you did! Love Mel
