The Lord Watches Over Us

Matt 6:9 (ESV) …Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Luke 11:2 When you pray, say: Our Father, hallowed be your name. …Psalm 11:4 The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD’s throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man. —Our Father sees all & knows all! He sees the plans that evil lays out for us & He knows if it will bring us good or not! He wants only what is best for us! Just as a child playing around a fire or around water, it is up to the parent to make sure that child is safe! So our Father in heaven does for us! There are times when God brings us home early so that we are protected from the enemies plans (see Isaiah 57:1-2)! But until that time, you can always count on His goodness even when you don’t understand it! Love Mel

Persevere!! The People of God Also Have to Fight For The Victory

Neh 2:19 When Sanballat the Horonite & Tobiah the Ammonite servant & Geshem the Arab heard of it, they jeered at us & despised us & said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king? Neh4:1-3 Now when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry & greatly enraged, & he jeered at the Jews.  Neh 6:2 Sanballat & Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come & let us meet together at Hakkephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they intended to do me harm.
—-Did you know that Nehemiah’s main job for the King was to taste his food & drink before the King ate it, as a test to see if it had been poisoned or not! Then God put it on his heart to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem! During this process he was offered other plans, insulted, & planned harm, anything to stop the building of the wall! When you are doing Gods work the enemy will do anything to distract you! We must learn take a page from Nehemiah’s book, persevere! For he finished the wall in record time! Remember ALL things are possible with God! Love Mel

He is The Potter and We Are The Clay

Isaiah 64:8 (ESV)O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, & you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. Jer 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare & not for evil, to give you a future & a hope. Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us…2 Cor4:7 We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God & not to us. —In this world, we are all broken vessels that leak! To remain full we must stay continuously under the flow of the father! Remember He has plans for us & they are good! We need only walk in them, for IT IS HIS surpassing power that in the hands of the potter brings forth the most beautiful vessel crack free! This is our HOPE! Love Mel

Learn to Love The Lord

Psalm 57:5 (ESV)Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth. Prov 29:25 The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. Prov 12:25 Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down… Psalm 37:8 Refrain from anger, & forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. Ez36:26 I will give you a new heart, & a new spirit I will put within you.  I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh & give you a heart of flesh. —Is your worship being replaced by worry? What if every time you start to worry you turn it into a conversation with God! Worry opens the door to the enemy! Fear, anxiety, anger, bitterness etc invites the enemy in! Shut that door spend more time praising Him & watch things begin to change! These fears, angers etc robs us of His peace & joy! & has the ability to turn our hearts to stone! Let it go! Open your hearts for Him to fill it up with His Love! You will be so glad you did! Love Mel

Focus on the Spirit not the Flesh

Rom 8:6 (BLB) For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit, life & peace. Isaiah 32:17 (ESV) The effect of righteousness will be peace, & the result of righteousness, quietness & trust forever. Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating & drinking but of righteousness & peace & joy in the Holy Spirit. Psalm 145:18 The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.—For He tells us in 3John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. — Joy satisfies the heart in a way that temporary happiness never can. The joy of the Lord fills our heart in a way nothing else can. The truth is He Loves us in a way that no other can. He has our picture on His mantel! 🥰Love Mel
