Sow Righteousness

Rom 12:18 (NKJV) If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not eating & drinking, but righteousness; peace & joy in the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace, & the effect of righteousness, quietness & assurance forever. James 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Prov 11:18 The wicked man does deceptive work, But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward. Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes & rains righteousness on you. Love Mel

Change our Desires to Conform to Yours

Rev 1:8 (ESV) I am the Alpha & the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is & who was & who is to come, THE ALMIGHTY. Gen 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram & said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, & be blameless. Jer 32:17 ‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens & the earth by your great power & by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you! Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. —Almighty God, thank you for you & your ability to do far more than We can ask or imagine. Help us to be content with what we have & show us how to pray as we ought. We humble ourselves under your mighty hand. We abide in your shadow. For You are the potter; & we are the clay. Change our desires to conform to yours that Christ may dwell in us completely. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen. Love Mel

Mercy over Sacrifice

Matt 9:13 Go & learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, & not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners. Matt 12:7 If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. Matt 5:7 (ESV) Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.— Mercy is an act of kindness, favor or compassion.” Mercy is love that responds in an undeserving way! Mercy comes from the freedom & the strength that God’s truth reveals. It is often stated that when “mercy & truth have met, then righteousness & peace have kissed.” When we choose to be merciful, we are shining God’s light into darkness! Mercy is what God desires! Cast Your Care

1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting ALL your ANXIETIES on Him, because He cares for you. Phil 4:6 Do not be ANXIOUS about anything, but in everything by prayer & supplication (Pleas)with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God! 1 King 8:28 Yet HAVE REGARD to the prayer of your servant & to his plea, O LORD my God, LISTENing to the cry & to the prayer that your servant prays before you this day,— Did you know that it is possible to rise above all anxious thoughts, that is, when we cast our cares on the one who cares for us! Know that it is ok to cry out to Him, beg Him to listen & care for us! He cares, He listens & He waits patiently on us! Love Mel

Search for Him and You Will Find Him

Luke 15:8-9 (ESV) What woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp & sweep the house & seek diligently until she finds it? & when she has found it, she calls together her friends & neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost. Luke 15:4-6 What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, & go after the one that is lost, until he finds it & when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. & when he comes home, he calls together his friends & his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost. —Do you really Search for God! Like the woman looking for the lost coin or the man looking for his lost sheep? We must remember that life is an active pursuit of pursuing God on a daily basis! — Isaiah 57:15 (NKJV) Thus says the One who is high & lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high & holy place, & also with him who is of a contrite & lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, & to revive the heart of the contrite.” —He will make His home with those whose hearts He has overcome & with His overwhelming joy we will find the greatest coin or sheep we could ever hope for! It is all in the HOPE! Love Mel
