Luke 1:8-13 Now while he was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, according to the custom of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. & the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense. & there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, & your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, & you shall call his name John. John 1:18-20 Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, & I was sent to speak to you & to bring you this good news. & behold, you will be silent & unable to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.— When God speaks; we must believe; God speaks only truth, & we must believe Him. What if we lost our ability to speak every time we doubted, questioned or ignored God? Not very many people would be talking so much! We must remember God loves us so much that He GAVE His only Son that we might have life! If you are in a place that causes you to doubt God, remember the Mark 9:24… “Lord, I believe;help my unbelief!” Love Mel
The Feasts of The Lord!!
Lev 23:4-5 (ESV)These are the appointed feasts of the Lord, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight, is the Lord’s Passover. Ex12:21 Then Moses called all the elders of Israel & said to them, “Go & select lambs for yourselves according to your clans, & kill the Passover lamb. Ex 12:6 You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight. John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, & said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Matt 26:2 You know that after two days the Passover is coming, & the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified. Luke 22:7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Matt 12:40 For just as Jonah was three days & three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days & three nights in the heart of the earth. Luke 24:46 And said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer & on the third day rise from the dead. Mark 16:2 Very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. (The first day of the week would have been Sunday!) So we know Jesus rose on Sunday morning! Now count for yourself three days & three nights! You have Saturday night, Friday Night, — My count is two not three! — Our God said to celebrate the Passover & Easter is supposed to be the Passover celebration of Jesus rising from the grave, but something is not exactly right in the interpretation!
Just remember it is more about what Jesus did for us at the cross & on Calvary than bunny & eggs! Give the glory to God & find a way to celebrate His plan! Love Mel.
Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday, whenever you celebrate! Love Mel
Hope is Very Important to Preserve
Where’s your HOPE? —Hebr 6:19 (NLT) This hope is a strong & trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Psalm 39:7 So, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Zech 9:11 Come back to the place of safety, all you prisoners who still have hope! I promise this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles. Hebr 6:18 So God has given both His promise & His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. — We must hold to His Hope as our anchor during the struggles of this life & cling to His promises! He is our God who cannot lie! If He promised then it is ours to cling to! Love Mel
The Lord is Our Hope
The God kinda HOPE! —Rom 15:13 (ESV) May the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in HOPE. Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare & not for evil, to give you a future & a HOPE. Rom 8:24-25 For in this HOPE we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we HOPE for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Hebr 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our HOPE without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. — When we make God our Hope, then all that He promised is possible! For He is faithful! Hold fast to your hope in Glory! Don’t waiver! Our God loves us & is faithful! Just be determined to hold fast, no matter what! Love Mel
Meditate on His Word – It Will Build Your Faith
Josh 1:8 (NIV) Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; MEDITATE on it day & night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous & successful. Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, & who MEDITATES on His law day & night. — To MEDITATE is to be mindful of the words of God day & night! Willing to chant these words to bring about the spiritual world by constantly renewing the promises of God! We are to MEDITATE day & night on the words of God that our ways might be of great success! For When we repeat something we will remember it & our mind will be renewed! — Romans 12:2 (KJV) Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, & acceptable, & perfect, will of God. — MEDITATE on the word, it will transform us to Him!
