1 Sam 16:7 (ESV) The LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart. Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. Isaiah 65:2 All day long I have held out My hands to an obstinate people who walk in the wrong path, who follow their own imaginations. Gal6:9 Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.—This reminds me of the old saying, “You can’t judge a book by its cover.” How many times are we so quick to do just that! I am so thankful that our God gives second + chances! Also, we are to do good, think good & continue to trust God for the best! —ROM 8:28 We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. God Answers Prayers!!
Zach 10:1 (ESV) Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, & He will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field. James 5:18 Then he prayed again, & heaven gave rain, & the earth bore its fruit. Psalm 147:8 He covers the heavens with clouds; He prepares rain for the earth; He makes grass grow on the hills. — We have been in a drought for some time to the point our grass was starting to die! Bill & I prayed for rain today & our God answered our prayers! I just wanted to thank Him for His goodness & remind everyone that our God hears our request for help! Please don’t ever give up on Him! He is always working to help us thru the tough times! He really loves us! Love Mel
Understand the TRUTH – There is Only One
2 Thes 2:9-12 (NKJV) The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, lying wonders, & with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the TRUTH, that they might be saved. & for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the TRUTH but had pleasure in unrighteousness. —Some are so in love with their illusions that they can no longer recognize the TRUTH when we hear it. —1 John 5:3 (ESV) For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. & His commandments are not burdensome. Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness & unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the TRUTH.— Never ever believe the lie, for we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! We can always believe His TRUTH! And we must hold fast to His TRUTH. Remember the enemy comes to steal kill & destroy, BUT God came that we might have LIFE! And have it more abundantly! Don’t ever give in to the lie! Hold to TRUTH. Celebrate what God has done for us! Love Mel
The Damascus road Experience
Acts 9:6-8 Rise & enter the city, & you will be told what you are to do.” The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. Saul rose from the ground, & although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand & brought him into Damascus.— More questions than answers! Saul was persecuting Christs followers & Jesus turned him completely around! Paul became a follower & writer of the New Testament! There are Damascus Road experiences for us all! We just need to be patient. God is always working to bring us out of Life’s pits & lead us to our call! How near to us is His unseen world! It is but for Christ to draw aside the veil! Divine Favor. Love Mel
Q: Joan Rivers, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is God’s gift, that’s why we call it the present.
Q: Matthew Henry, “Let us not despair of renewing grace for the conversion of the greatest sinners, nor let such despair of the pardoning mercy of God for the greatest sin. It is a signal token of Divine favour!”
Just Keep Going
Gen 37:28 So when the Midianite merchants came by, his brothers pulled Joseph up out of the cistern & sold him for twenty shekels of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt. — Joseph was a slave at age 17 , then thrown into prison for 12 years, then he was given the keys to the kingdom at age 30, & saved his family! —Ex 2:11-12 One day, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people & looked on their burdens, & he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his people. He looked this way & that, & seeing no one, he struck down the Egyptian & hid him in the sand. — Moses had to flee Egypt, to the backside of the desert & returned to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. He was in Egypt for 40 years, the backside of the desert for 40 years & back to leading the Israelites for 40 years. — You can examine these timelines & see that there was a significant amount of time for Joseph to hate his brothers. & for Moses to hate his people. But both see the big picture & know that they are in fact doing the will of God Almighty. Today you might be faced with some difficult situations. If we too can know & trust Gods plans maybe we too can forgive whoever by trusting God! Because we know that no matter what, God has got “IT”! Whatever “IT” is! Love Mel
