Show Me Your Glory

Ex 33:18-23 (ESV) Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” Psalm19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God, & the sky above proclaims His handiwork. 1 Cor 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the Glory of God. Hebr 1:3 He (Jesus) is the radiance of the Glory of God & the exact imprint of His nature, & He upholds the universe by the word of His power….John 11:40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the Glory of God?” Psalm 57:5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! —  Show me your glory Lord was Moses prayer! The Hebrew word for glory is kavod (כָּבוֹד), which primarily means weight, honor, or splendor. It can refer to the presence of God, His attributes, or the praise & honor given to Him. Moses was searching for more of Gods Presence! Jesus is His presence that we can look upon! God connects His glory to us thru His Son Jesus with His Spirit that lives on the inside of us! Quote: Mercy is new.  com, “So, how do you define glory? It is the essence of God & it is so good (holy, righteous, full of justice, wrath, and love) that too much of it will kill you. So, handle it with caution!” Love Mel

The Importance of The Holy Spirit

Zech 4:6 (ESV) …. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. Acts 1:8 You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, & you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, & in all Judea & Samaria, & to the ends of the earth. Eph 3:16 That according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being. Rom 15:13May the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. — Have you ever tried so hard & come up short? Many times in life we try, try & try again only to get frustrated, lost, saddened, or heartbroken! If you study these scriptures & many more like them in the Bible to see that so many times  it really takes the power of the Holy Spirit working thru us.  Remember in Phil 4:13 (BSB) I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength. —We can do so much more when we have Him in our boat! John 21:6 He(Jesus) told them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, & you will find some.” So they cast it there, & they were unable to haul it in because of the great number of fish. — Love Mel

He Redeems Us

Psalm 71:23 (ESV) My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed. Psalm 103:4 Who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love & mercy. Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us… Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, & at the last He will stand upon the earth.  Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from trouble. — So Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so, For His steadfast love endures forever! The Anchor Holds

My Anchor Holds in the Storm!   Isaiah 33:2 O LORD, be gracious to us! We wait for You. Be our strength every morning & our salvation in time of trouble. Lam 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Hebr 6:19 We have this as a sure & steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain. Col 1:5 Because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel. Psalm62:5-6 Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock & my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken.  —When tragedy strikes it is here that we see how fragile this life really is & here is where our God holds us like an anchor in the storms of life! Tho tossed about …we are to find rest in God alone! Remember great is His faithfulness!  Love Mel

Trusting God in Tragedy

Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV) I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven & earth. Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, & He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved. Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, & do not lean on your own understanding. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod & your staff, they comfort me. Col 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Phil 3:20 Our citizenship is in heaven, & from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. — There is so much pain in this world, but be of good cheer for God has overcome the world. I ask you to please pray for the families that have lost loved ones in the tragedy in Texas. Thank you so much! Love Mel
