Prov 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Col 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy & dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness & patience. James3:13 Who is wise & understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. & what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy & to walk humbly with your God. —Humility opens the inner sanctuary to the presence of God. The issues of life that result in the fear of man, pride, and impulsiveness can bring harm, but God brings us to repentance with a humbled heart. A heart that is open to receive the teaching of Jesus Christ can move mountains and can become the foundation that God uses to bring about His plan! To be humbled here is to be a servant like Jesus! Remember He leads by example! Love Mel
Romans 4:11: Worthy is The Lord
Rom 4:11 Worthy are you, our Lord God, to receive glory & honor & power, for you created all things, & by your will they existed & were created. John 5:22 For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father.— Honor means to show respect, reverence, admiration, adoration, awe, praise, submission, and obedience. —To Honor God is to put Him first, by loving Him! God gave us His only son, so what are we giving Him in return? He wants our love & affection! “Give it all you got!” — Matt 22:37-38 He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart & with all your soul & with all your mind. This is the great & first commandment. — I pray God, Please help us to honor You this day & everyday with our minds, our souls, and our hearts that You have given us. Love Mel
Great Story
One of my favorites! Donkey fell in a pit! – One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a pit. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the pit needed to be covered up! There wasn’t any way to save the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel & began to shovel dirt into the pit. At first, the donkey realized what was happening & cried terribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the pit & was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off & take a step up. As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off again & take another a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the pit & trotted off!
Moral – Life can get dirty & you can find yourself in a pit! The key to getting out is to shake it off & take a step up. Every trouble is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest pits just by not stopping, never giving up & shaking it off! Love Mel
Luke 18:1-5: Always Pray and Never Give Up
Luke 18:1-5 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray & not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. & there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come & attack me!’” —Sometimes we pray, pray, & pray some more & nothing seems to change! However, this is when we must dig in & pray some more! You see there is a battle going on & the enemy is trying to get us to give up or give in! That is why we must never stop praying! Psalm 118:13-14: But The Lord Helped Me
Psalm 118:13-14 I was pushed so hard I was falling, but the LORD helped me. The LORD is my strength & my song, & He has become my salvation. Luke 5:4 When he had finished speaking, he told Simon, “Push out into deep water, & lower your nets for a catch. Phil 3:14 With my eyes fixed on the goal I push on to secure the prize of God’s heavenward call in Christ Jesus.— Push – “to press upon or against (a thing) with force in order to move it.
to move (something) in a specified way by exerting force; drive”— To Push or be pushed! — Isaiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, do not return to it without watering the earth & making it bud & flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower & bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire & achieve the purpose for which I sent it. — As our God sets in motion to move, it is all for His purpose!
