Mark 10:44-45: The Greatest Among Us Must Be a Servant

Mark 10:44-45 You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, & their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, & whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, & to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matt 23:11-12 The greatest among you shall be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, & whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Matt 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 1Peter5:6 Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. — Humility is having a modest opinion or estimate of one’s own importance! Servant is the willingness to put it all down to enter the path that leads to eternal life! To willingly empty ourselves & willingly pick the door where Jesus waits! — John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he will be saved, & will go in & will go out & will find pasture. — When we realize what we find in Him, our willingness to give up the pleasures of this world brings the most enormous fulfillment, humility becomes second nature! Colossians 3:23: What the Bible Says About Work

Col 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Prov 13:4 The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied. Prov 14:23 In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty. Prov 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Prov 12:24 The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor. 2 Tim 2:6 It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. Jer 29:5 Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. Prov 16:11 A just balance and scales are the Lord’s; all the weights in the bag are his work. 1Cor 3:8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. — Just wanted to share some thoughts on the four letter word WORK from Scripture. FYI, God is on the side of working! Love Mel

2 Timothy 1:7: God did Not Give Us Spirit of Fear But of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind

2 Tim 1:7 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of POWER and love and self-control. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you POWER to tread on serpents & scorpions, & over ALL the power of the enemy: & nothing shall by any means shall hurt you. Acts 1:8 You will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, & you will be my witnesses ……to the end of the earth. Matt 17:10 ….For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ & it will move, & NOTHING will be impossible for you. —As people of God we truly have more power than we can imagine, we just need to use it. Our power is found in our surrender to the Holy Spirit! When we finally surrender & are willing to be “all in” with our Savior, Jesus Christ, we will move mountains & Heaven will move mountains on our behalf! NOTHING will be impossible for us!P.U.S.H. —Pray Until Something Happens! —Never underestimate the power of prayer! Love Mel

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in The Lord With All of Your Heart and Lean Not On Your Own Understanding

Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, & do not lean on your own understanding. Prov 4:23 Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flows the springs of life. Jer 17:10 I the Lord search the heart & test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds. Q: Ralph Waldo Emerson, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” — It is all a heart matter! We must always trust Him! Love Mel

1 John 3:8: Whoever Practices Sin is Not of God

1 John 3:8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. — Satans work is to tempt us to sin, to ensure our final destruction, but Jesus paid the price so that our sin no longer has the stronghold of spiritual death! That is, —when we repent & move away from our sins! We can do this when we seek God! —John 12:31-33 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die. Matt 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God & His righteousness, & all these things will be added unto you. 1Tim 4:8 For physical exercise is of limited value, but godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for the present life and for the one to come. — Now you know what holds true value in this world & the next!
