Matthew 7:13-14: Enter By The Narrow Gate

In Matt 7:13-14 Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate & broad is the way that leads to destruction, & there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate & difficult is the way which leads to life, & there are few who find it.” Prov 16:35 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. — Why the narrow way? Because, It leads to eternal life! Our nature is to gravitate toward comfort, pleasure, lusts, self desires & greed over Him! To deny ourselves, is not in our nature! To put others first, is not our first choice, let alone serve them! God knows that in our self-centered, sin-filled world there are not many who will care enough to come to Him on His terms. To sacrifice self centeredness, to become Christ centered, is truly the hard & narrow path! Sin traps us on the broad road, but Jesus tells us to resist the devil & he must flee! I am here to tell you, any sacrifice we make, then that will truly be the most gratifying decision that we ever make! Gods ways are higher than ours, so our higher choices just move us to higher ground! What a great place to be when the floods come! Love Mel

The Fall Feasts of the Lord Start Now. Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. A Glorious Time.

Deuteronomy 16:16 says “Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread (Passover); in the feast of weeks (Pentecost); & in the feast of TABERNACLES: & they shall not appear before the Lord empty handed”. —The Lords main festivals are Passover, Pentecost & Tabernacles. The yearly festival cycle demonstrates redemption, provision & presence respectively. This month we see the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement & the Feast of Tabernacles (all part of Tabernacles). We are not under law but under grace. But let’s celebrate with believers around the world, the last of Gods appointed festivals for the year. Friday, September 18th is the first possible sighting day for the Seventh Hebrew Month, also know as Tishri. We will be watching & waiting for the New Moon to be sighted in Israel so we can announce when the Feast Of Trumpets will be Celebrated. For Christians, this day could be the revealing of our Lord in His full glory for all the world to see! Known as the blowing of Trumpets to usher in our King of Kings! Love Mel

Isaiah 40:31: Those Who Trust in the Lord Will Find New Strength.

From my brother, Dennis today. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2014, which changed his life! Below is a devo from him! —“I have shared this before and I feel led to share again! When cancer raised its ugly head in my life everything changed.. I sold my business and had no idea what the future held for me….I wasn’t sure whether I was going to live or die?? The chemo they gave me kills EVERYTHING, good cells and bad…. So your body takes a beating!!! There was a battle going on inside my body and a battle going on outside too… I finally realized, I couldn’t when this battle on my own. So I reached out to the one who was waiting, our Savior!!! I repented for all my sins, and turned my life over to him….It was by far the best decision I ever made.. My sister gave me a coin with a bible verse on it … It tells just a little of what Our Lord Almighty did for me…. Isaiah 40:31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on the wings of eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint… He gave me another opportunity at life!!! Believe me when I say, “Don’t wait for something life threatening to change”! He is waiting ❤️. Trust him. TYJ!!!!!”— AMEN!! Love Mel

Psalm 18: I Will Love the Lord, I Will Trust the Lord, I Will all Upon the Lord, so Shall I Be Saved From My Enemies

The Rock of our Salvation —Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Psalm 18:31 For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the rock except our God? — —Then The Rock is water! —Deut 8:15 God] led thee through…. & thirsty ground where was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint. —The Rock is our cover! — Ex 33:21-22 The LORD continued, “There is a place near Me where you are to stand upon a rock, when My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock & cover you with My hand until I have passed by. —This reminds me of the song, “Rock of Ages” “Rock of ages cleft for me let me hide myself in Thee”! We have So much to be thankful for in our God! Love Mel

Seek the Wisdom of God and Not Your Own

Prov 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart & lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge Him, & He will make your paths straight. James 1:5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, & it will be given to him. Prov 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge & understanding. James 3:17 The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, & easy to be intreated, full of mercy & good fruits, without partiality, & without hypocrisy. — Gods Wisdom is available to us, when we ask & when we repent, He pours out His wisdom upon us! He has given us His word, which is filled with His wisdom! When we learn to meditate on His word, we in fact find that which surpasses all understanding. — 1Cor 2:9-10 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”, these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. Love Mel
