There Are Only Two Religions

Fundamentally there are only two religions. The first general type of religion is a system whereby man seeks to please God in order to gain salvation or eternal life. This religion is found everywhere, even in false Christianity. The method may be different but the intent is the same. We must be good enough; we must be sad enough over our sin; we must punish ourselves enough; and we must follow enough rules to earn, by our own merit, our entrance into the kingdom of God. The other religion is a specific religion which says in Galatians 2:21 (KJV) 18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness comes  by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Doesn’t that make great sense? If there are many ways to God, including the worship of inanimate objects, then why would God send His only son to live on this earth. to be crucified mercilessly and to die a tortured death? Would God do this to simply add yet another way into the kingdom? It seems God paid the price for our sin by Himself assuming the death penalty. According to John chapter 3 verses 14-16: 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and accept His free gift of salvation by grace through faith, and enter into the family of God.

Follow the Lord’s Instructions and You Will Be Victorious. You Say a Prayer and He Gives You an Instruction to Follow.

John 9:7 (KJV) He said unto him, Go, WASH in the pool of Siloam, He went his way therefore, & washed, & came seeing. John 8:11 Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: GO, & SIN NO more. John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, RISE, take up thy bed, & walk. — Do you see that Jesus always has some action required for the one being healed! This world is looking for a free ride, but we serve a God of action. My brother, Randy, reminded me that Noah worked on building the Ark for 120 years. Do you know that it had never rained on the earth before. Everyone made fun of Noah! Would you be willing to give up a significant potion of your life for the call of God, while everyone was laughing at you? God loves it when His children are willing to make sacrifices for Him! What are you willing to give up to be His? I will tell you, it is worth far more than anything you can get in this world! Love Mel

Fear Not. The Fear of Man is a Snare, But the Fear of God Brings Life.

After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. — He upholds the universe, & you doubt that He is with us! —Col 1:16 For by him all things were created, in heaven & on earth, visible & invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him & for him. — We are back to “For Him”! Yes He is with us, because we were created “For Him”! Love Mel

Hebrews 11:7: Living By Faith in His Purpose

Hebr 11:7 (ESV) By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household … —Have you ever thought that just maybe we are being prepared for something greater? —Psalm 39:4 (KJV) LORD, make me to know mine end, & the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am. Romans 8:28 We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to HIS purpose. — Yes, it really is all about His purpose! When we feel like we can’t do anything or don’t know what to do, we can always PRAY. Remember our prayers fill the bowl of incense in Heaven! How awesome is that! Pray! Pray! Pray! Love Mel

There is none other commandment greater than these. —God is LOVE! — EPHESIANS 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; & that not of yourselves: IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD. ROMANS 12:3 According as GOD HATH DEALT TO EVERY MAN the measure of faith. — Faith is —Hebr 11:1 the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. When we exercise our faith in His love we will find that grace that is above everything we could ever hope for! Love Mel
