Prayer Power

Prayer Power! Mark 11:24 (ESV) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, & it will be yours. Matt 21:22 Whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. John 15:7 If you abide in me, & my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, & it will be done for you. Rom 8:26Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 1 Thes 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Rom 12:12Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Psalm 141:2 Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, & the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice! Acts16:25:26 About midnight Paul & Silas were praying & singing hymns to God, & the prisoners were listening to them, & suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. & immediately all the doors were opened, & everyone’s bonds were unfastened.

—Our weapon is our prayer! No weapon formed against us can prosper! Paul & Silus prayed at midnight! Remember the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Praying at all times in the Spirit, do not be anxious about anything, Judge not, Fear not, doubt not, stand firm in the Lord, keep alert, believe, ask in Jesus name, ask in supplication with thanksgiving, seek His face, be humble, & don’t forget to “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Love Mel

The End of the Matter According to King Solomon

Eccl 12:13 (ESV) The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God & keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for GOOD works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is GOOD; & what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, & to walk humbly with your God? Job 22:21 Agree with God, & be at peace; thereby GOOD will come to you. 1Cor10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do ALL to the glory of God. — So what is our purpose? Do GOOD, LOVE Kindness, Walk Humbly with God & do it ALL to His Glory! Love Mel

A Joyful Heart

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you & help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. —We live in a fallen world that is tainted by sin, sickness, disease, & death. These are not easy to deal with, sometimes it even feels like a wrestling match that we can’t even win! — James 1:2-4 Dear brothers & sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for JOY. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character & ready for anything. — If we can allow His Joy to fill our hurt, pain, loss, & sadness.

Prov 17:22 “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”— We can find JOY knowing that in Heaven no one has colds, headaches, allergies, upset stomachs, heart disease, cancer or any other sickness or disease! Praise God! Love Mel

Frequently We Have to Do Out Part

Num 13:1-2 (ESV) The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel. Num 13:25 At the end of 40 days they returned from spying out the land. 27And they told him, “We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. 30But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.” Num 14:6-7 Joshua the son of Nun & Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes & said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land. Num 14:30 Not one shall come into the land where I swore that I would make you dwell, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh & Joshua the son of Nun.— Ten men spied out the land but only two had the faith to trust God that they could overcome the giants of the land! How many look to God for help & He gives you a promised land, then you realize that you have to fight the giants for the promise! Don’t forget John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you Will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Tribulation is part of this world, so we can’t get lazy & we must push thru the giants that get in our way to our promise! We can trust our God & when we do we will overcome the trials of life! Love Mel

A Thankful Heart

Luke 17:11-19 On the way to Jerusalem He was passing along between Samaria & Galilee. & as He entered a village, He was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance & lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” When He saw them He said to them, “Go & show yourselves to the priests.” & as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; & he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving Him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return & give praise to God except this foreigner?” & He said to him, “Rise & go your way; your faith has made you well.” — “GRATITUDE” The absence of the nine brings light to a spiritual lesson regarding the importance of thankfulness for God’s blessings. — 1Thes 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Psalm100:4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving, & His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! Col 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. & be thankful. — Maybe having a thankful heart is truly what keeps the doors open between us & God! He knows that this is where we will find His peace! Love Mel
