I heard a sermon this morning from Pastor Bill Johnson. If I hear a good one I like to recap it generally. Christians pray very well from a defensive position when trouble strikes. The better approach is to stay prayed up in advance. Jesus prayed 40 days in the wilderness after his anointing, and this enabled him to deal with the demons the apostles could not remove. Also to pray effectively it is best to pray the things on Gods heart. How do you discern the things that are on Gods heart? You do so by staying close to Him in prayer at all times. Become His friend. John 15:15 (KJV) Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. In this verse Jesus tells us that His friends know what He is up to and can pray in collaboration with Him to bring these things to pass. This is the best way to pray. Stay prayed up. Stay close to God by living a holy life and being often in prayer. Then you can pray most effectively.
Our Father Which Art in Heaven – We Cry Abba Father
Mark 14:36 (KJV) He (Jesus) said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee;… Gal 4:6 Because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father”. Matt 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Rom8:15-17 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, “Abba, Father”. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: & if children, then heirs; heirs of God, & joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together. — CRY ABBA FATHER! He Made the Dry Bones Live
Ezekiel 37:5-6 (KJV) This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, & you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you & make flesh come upon you & cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, & you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD. –Isaiah 40:31 They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, & not be weary; & they shall walk, & not faint. —Soar high above the Fray! We can only soar with His wind beneath our wings! — Joel 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, & the breath of the Almighty gives me life. — It is all about Him! The Seven Spirits of God and How to Be Directed by Him
“The book of Revelation mentions seven spirits of God.” In Isaiah 11:2-3 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and The fear of the Lord. And His delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. “Here, We can see these listed! We also know from” John 4:24 God is spirit, & those who worship Him must worship in spirit & truth. Job 28:28 And to MAN He said, ‘Behold, The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; & to DEPART from evil is understanding. Psalm 73:23 With Your counsel You will guide me, & afterward receive me to glory. —“True knowledge comes thru our spiritual relationship with our God, we will only gain it when we truly put ourselves under His counsel! We get here when we finally realize we have NO control & it is ALL about His plan! “CHOOSE TRUTH!” So the key to it all is to,” James 4:10 Humble ourselves before the Lord & He will direct our paths.
