Col 1:17(ESV) He is before all things, & in Him all things hold together. Col 1:17 (KJV) He is before all things, & by Him all things consist. — Wow, do you believe that? — John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, & the Word was with God, & the Word was God. —All from the beginning! YES! Then Jesus! — John 1:14 (ESV)The Word became flesh & dwelt among us, & we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace & truth. — Don’t you just love that He came & saved us! The Cross is one thing the enemy will never duplicate & it shows us His grace & truth. This one act says it all! Why would God have sent His only son to die on the cross, if it did not truly fulfill the price for sin! There is nothing more proof that that! Praise Him! Love Mel

1 Tim 6:12 (KJV) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, & hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, & exhort you that ye should earnestly CONTEND for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Prov 3:18 She is a tree of life to them that LAY HOLD upon her: & happy is every one that retaineth her. — We are called to FIGHT the good fight of faith, & to LAY HOLD! Are you willing to STAND? Are you willing to SIEZE & RETAIN or will you fold? Life is not easy & it is not for sissies! We must be willing to STAND for Him or we will fall for everything! Are you willing to take the road less traveled or will you fall for the easy road? It is worth pondering! Love Mel

From Bill— Three signs that a believer is going to heaven. Eph 2:8-9. Salvation is a gift. A gift must be received. Then Our faith is in the finished work of Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. So the first evidence is that You willingly give your life to Christ! —Then a transformation takes place & signs follow. —You over time become a servant of Christ, you want to obey, make Him Lord & top priority. By the way, Servants of Christ go to heaven! —Finally a peaceful heart. —Jn 14. This world is not your home. Let not your heart be troubled. Let the peace of God rule over you. Rev 21: 3 I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, & they will be his people, & God himself will be with them as their God. So… You give your life to Christ & make Him Lord. You want to obey Him & make Him top priority AND you experience peace in your heart because you know you belong to Him. — Love Mel

I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, & I will meditate on your statutes. — Just look at David’s words “he delights” “he loves” & “he meditates”. — Psalm 37:4 (KJV)Delight thyself also in the LORD; & He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Deut 6:5-6 Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, & with all thy soul, & with all thy might. These words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: Psalm 1:1-3 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, & in His law he meditates day & night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season & its leaf does not wither; & in whatever he does, he prospers. — Remember delight in God, love God & meditate on God’s word & it will go well with you! From Bill— Has hope deferred made your your heart sick as Proverbs says can happen? Sometimes it will, but the following awareness may help. Recently several issues had my undivided attention and fervent prayer. They even kept me up at night to pray. And they had scriptural support. But these things did not occur! My faith was shaken. I often see issues or opportunities that I decide need to happen and I begin to align my prayers with them. Often they don’t happen. I began to believe that if the prayer was not answered in the way I believed, then God was showing His disapproval of me. While I was praying, I unknowingly attached my faith in God’s concern for me, to the outcome of those issues. When they did not happen, I began to wonder and doubt. And then – God did something awesome that was unrelated to what I prayed for but that I needed. He showed me HE IS STILL THERE and He wants my love to be for Him – NOT for outcomes. This tells me to Seek the GIVER, not the gift. HE REALLY IS THERE, AND HIS WAYS ARE HIGHER THAN OUR WAYS and His thoughts higher than ours. Always seek Him first & foremost. Love Mel
