Matthew 5:43-44 You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor & hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies & pray for those who persecute you. Romans 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by His life. Matthew 6:12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. — Turning the other cheek is super hard in this life especially when you have a good reason not too! However, we must remember that vengeance belongs to God! —Luke 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide His garments.— Even Jesus asked God to forgive them. So just maybe we can too! Love Mel
Fear of Man is a Snare, But The Fear of The Lord is Wisdom
Isaiah 41:13 (ESV)For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, & He answered me & delivered me from all my fears. Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer & supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. Prov 16:7 When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. —Fear is the enemy! We must face our fears by trusting in God! Trusting God eliminates fear & replaces it with peace! Remember we can’t be powerful & pitiful at the same time! We must choose to trust Him. Do not fear, only believe. Love Mel
Courage Based on Him!
Luke 8:24 (ESV) They went & woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” & He awoke & rebuked the wind & the raging waves, & they ceased, & there was a calm. 2 Cor 4:17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong & courageous. Do not be frightened, & do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. — This courage is not based on us, but on our trust in God’s promises & His presence. For He promises to be with us wherever we may go! Love Mel
Ephraim and Manasseh
Ephraim & Manasseh were born to Joseph & Asenath (Joseph’s Egyptian wife), Joseph was a foreigner in Egypt, yet he had gained a high position in Pharaoh’s court. Joseph’s father Jacob blessed Ephraim & Manasseh as adopted sons. —Gen 48:5 Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim & Manasseh shall be mine, as Reuben & Simeon are. —
May we be blessed like Ephraim & Manasseh.”
Our journey is unique & our path to success is too! Don’t lose site of God whether in the pit, the prison or the palace.
Also, consider that what we each have is what we need & what we don’t have we simply don’t need!
Every person has a unique mission in life, & this must be recognized.
There is the secret to happiness hidden in the story of Joseph: Pity is the thief of joy. When we can overcome circumstances by trusting God. Not looking to the right or the left! Believing! —Gen 45:5 Now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. —
We are only pitiful if we are not happy with what we have. Remember The grass isn’t greener on the other side—it’s greener where you water it. This is key to being all we can be! With Spring here, many will plant seeds expecting a harvest! But it will not come without tending the weeds , watering & feeding processes. Trust God in the pit, prison or the palace! Love Mel
Passover
1 Cor 5:7-8 (ESV) Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice & evil, but with the unleavened bread of SINCERITY & TRUTH. Ex 12:1-3 The LORD said to Moses & Aaron in the land of Egypt, “This month shall be FOR YOU the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year FOR YOU. Tell all the congregation that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household. EX 12:14 This day shall be FOR YOU a memorial day, you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations, as a statute forever, you shall keep it as a feast.—Nisan is the month of the Jewish New Year, which began March 30- April 27 2025. Nisan is the month when Passover (Pesach) is celebrated. This is the month our Lord (The Lamb of God) hung on the cross for us! This month is believed to be a month of Miracles. It is the LORD’s Passover FOR US. A memory of what He did for us! Remember He is Risen! Love Mel
