Lay Up Treasure in Heaven That Will Last

Matt 13:45-46 (KJV)Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went & sold all that he had, & bought it. — Have you ever considered how a pearl is formed? A small grain of sand gets inside the oyster & over time due to the irritation of the sand a pearl is created. Pearls are considered a treasure. — Matt 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth & rust doth corrupt, & where thieves break through & steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, & where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. — Could giving praise to God be building treasures in heaven? Consider, it is easy to give praise when everything is going great, but just maybe giving Him praise in our difficult times is like building our own pearls in heaven. — Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, & into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, & bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; & His truth endureth to all generations.— Love Mel

Without Faith it is I possible to Please God – Grow Your Faith by Hearing the Word

Hebr 11:6 (KJV)Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, & that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. — Looking to please God? Then increase your faith. — Rom 10:17 (KJV)So then faith cometh by hearing, & hearing by the word of God. Gal3:5 (ESV) Does he who supplies the Spirit to you & works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?…Gal 3:9 (ESV) So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. Gal 3:10 (ESV)For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse…Gal3:13 (ESV) Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us…. Gal3:14so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith. — We receive the promised Spirit thru faith! Love Mel

The Harvest is Plentiful But the Laborers are Few – Get to Work!

Luke 10:2 (KJV) Therefore said He unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: PRAY ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest. Matt 9:37-38 (KJV) Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; PRAY ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest. — A labourer is someone who works with their hands; who is engaged in manual labor. Labor is both physical & sometimes with mental exertion, both difficult & exhausting. In other words, WORK! Our Lord is looking for those that are willing to WORK by PRAYING for HIS HARVEST. Are you willing to WORK for Him? Just say yes & spend more time in PRAYER and finding opportunities to love and serve! Love Mel

Guard Your Heart – Don’t Let it Grow Cold

When will Jesus return? —Luke 17:26(ESV)Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. Luke 17:28-30 (ESV)Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot—they were eating & drinking, buying & selling, planting & building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire & sulfur rained from heaven & destroyed them all—so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. — So what was it like in the days of Noah & Lot? —Gen 6:11 (KJV)The earth was corrupt before God, & the earth was filled with violence. Gen 6:8(KJV) But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Jude 1:7 (KJV)Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, & the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, & going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, & ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, & perished in the gainsaying of Korah. — So what will it be like in the days to come? —2Tim 3:1-4 (KJV)This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Matt 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: Rom 1:21 (ESV)For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. — So what shall we do? No matter what, always acknowledge God! Continue to do good! Protect the heart, so that it never grows cold. Don’t lose faith when things get hard, because I am telling you it will be hard! Don’t give in, because God is trust worthy! He said don’t do it, then don’t! If He says do it, then do it. You will rejoice in the end. Last— Get on the Boat! Love Mel

Let YourLight Shine Before Men and Glorify Your Father in Heaven

2 Cor 4:6-9 (KJV) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, & not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; — We are jars of clay being molded each day by the Father’s Hands as a potter molding his clay. He has hidden treasures of His light within each of us. As we learn to shine before others, they should see a glimpse of Him. Reminds me of one of my favorite childhood songs, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” Love Mel
