Mt 12:36 (KJV) “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” What is an idle word? I heard a preacher say “an idle word is a word that does not have a kingdom purpose”. Makes sense! It is a wasted word. The message? Focus your words and use them carefully with a purpose. “37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Why is that? Because Our words reveal what is in our hearts. Listen to yourself and take your “vocal temperature”. Do you speak faith or doubt, hope or dread, love or indifference? Prob 18:20 (KJV) “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” Heb 13:15: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
Ask, Seek, Knock – And You Will Get Answered
Luke 11:9-10 (KJV) say unto you, Ask, & it shall be given you; seek, & ye shall find; knock, & it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; & he that seeketh findeth; & to him that knocketh it shall be opened. John 14:4-6 (ESV) You know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, & the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jer 29:12-13 (ESV)Then you will call upon me & come & pray to me, & I will hear you. You will seek me & find me, when you seek me with all your heart.— Ask, Seek & Knock are all actions that are required of us. Be like Thomas, never be timid, always be willing to Ask! Seek Him with your whole heart! & In order to enter someone else’s home, we must first knock before the door is open. This is the same for the door to heaven. Love Mel
His Yoke is Easy and His Burden is Light
Matt 11:28-30 (ESV) Come to me, all who labor & are heavy laden, & I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, & learn from me, for I am gentle & lowly in heart, & you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, & my burden is light. — All life experiences under the wing of the Almighty are easier & lighter than if you are without Him — 2 Cor 4:17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. 1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, & establish you. — No matter what the pain, He promises to restore, confirm, strengthen, & establish us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. Burn the Ships and Don’t Look Back
According to a legend, Hernán Cortés, the Spanish conquistador issued a rather interesting order, “Burn the Ships”, to his men as they began their conquest of the Aztec empire in 1519. He wanted his men to understand that they had no opportunity to retreat or to head back to Spain, so they had to give the fight everything. Failure was not an option & winning the battle became of utmost importance. — Are there ships you need to burn in your life? Dwell in The Secret Place of The Most High
Psalm 91:1 (KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings. — Secret Place- a special place to hide where you feel safe from being found! When we choose to dwell in the Secret Place it is under the shadow of the Almighty. In Florida’s sun, things can get hot really quick, the shade of a tree is so appreciated to protect from the heat. The Shadow of the Almighty is an offering from God to protect us, when things get heated! We only need to freely choose Gods Secret Place where we can find His shadow. Love Mel
