Prov 6:16-19 There are 6 things that the LORD hates,7 that are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, & hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, & one who sows discord among brothers. Prov 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Rom 12:16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. — Our God loves us too much to leave us in the hands of evil. Satan is the father of lies & pride. We must do everything we can to be more like our God. Stay clear of pride! Gen 2:15 (NIV)The LORD God took the man & put him in the Garden of Eden to WORK it & take care of it. Eph 4:28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must WORK, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. Gal 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, & do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. — God is the father of TRUTH, WORK & FREEDOM! — John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, & you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. John 1:1 (all KJV) In the beginning was the Word, & the Word was with God, & the Word was God. Hebr 4:12 For the word of God is quick, & powerful, & sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul & spirit, & of the joints & marrow, & is a discerner of the thoughts & intents of the heart. Luke 8:11-15 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, & taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe & be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; & these have no root, which for a while believe, & in time of temptation fall away & that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, & are choked with cares, riches & pleasures of this life, & bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest & good heart, having heard the word, keep it, & bring forth fruit with patience. The Word needs an honest & good heart to bring forth fruit! Prov 17:22 (ESV) A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Prov 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. James 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. — Laughter has the ability to renew and refresh our souls! This is a true blessing from our God.— Psalm 96:1-2 Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. — Our joy can be expressed thru singing praise to God. Refresh means the refreshment, as rest, or deliverance from evil of any kind! This refreshing takes place as the laughter takes place. Love Mel
