A Prayer

A Prayer for Trusting God, Compiled and Edited by BibleStudyTools Staff on 7/29/2020, “Lord, I thank You that You are the God of the impossible. You can do anything. I want to trust in Your ability and not my own. Teach me to see difficulties in my life from Your perspective. Help me to focus on You and Your power. I want to be like Joshua and Caleb who believed in a good report and focused on You even in hard circumstances (Numbers 14:7-9). My responsibility is to carefully read, trust, and obey Your Word. Today I bring before You this difficulty in my life (Name a hard situation you are right now facing). Help me not to fear but to trust You in this situation. I declare my faith in Your ability to fulfill Your promises to me. You will fight for me and win the battles in my life. You are mighty, powerful, righteous, and true. In Jesus’ name. Amen.” A prayer worth praying for our difficulties & our country’s difficulties! Love Mel

We Are Inscribed on the Palm of His Hand

Luke 10:20 …..rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven. Dan 12:1 “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise & there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; & at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Rev 3:5 He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; & I will not erase his name from the book of life, & I will confess his name before My Father & before His angels. —When we wake up each day, it is Gods way of letting us know that we have one more opportunity to make a difference in this world! To let others know that He exists & He loves us! Our Father has our picture inscribed on the palm of His hand (Is 49:16). We are written in His Book. His mercies are new every morning. — Lam 3:25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. — We must be willing to Wait, & to Seek Him. Love Mel

Please Listen to The Lord While You Can

Gen 2:16-17 (all ESV) The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good & evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” 1 Kings 9:1-9 As soon as Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD…if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, & keeping my statutes and my rules, then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, but if you turn aside from following me…serve other gods and worship them then I will cut off Israel from the land … this house will become a heap of ruins… — God is always trying to warn us, even to the point that He was willing to allow His home to be destroyed and His name to be dishonored for “seemingly” abandoning His people, just to get our attention and to say “I am God and there is no other”. And when we still did not listen, He was willing to hang on a cross & die for our sins. God wants our attention, what do you say, let’s give Him the attention that He so deserves while He still strives with us. If He says don’t He means don’t! If He says it is not good, then chances are it ain’t good! Take Him at His word. If He calls something a sin, then It’s sin! Let’s listen for once. It will be well with our souls! Love Mel

Listen to God When You Pray

Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Hebr 2:1 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. James 1:19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door & knock. If anyone hears my voice & opens the door, I will come in to him & eat with him, & he with me. — Have you ever sit & thought about listening to God? Listening is a critical skill when communicating with others, therefore is just as important to our relationship with God. We must never underestimate our need to listen for our God, thereby ensuring a growing relationship with our father! Love Mel

Stay Focused on the Love of God

1 Cor 2:9 (ESV) It is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” Matt 6:19-21 (ESV) “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth & rust destroy & where thieves break in & steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys & where thieves do not break in & steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”Rev 22:12 (ESV) Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. — Did you know that we are on a journey to eternal life! What are you carrying with you on your journey? What are your bags packed with? Eph 4:31-32 (NIV) Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.— We must strive to watch the things we say & do so that our bags are packed with real treasures & not chaff that will be burned up at the judgement seat of Christ. Remember Always; The key to effective packing is to stay focused on the LOVE of God! Apples of gold in settings of silver. When you learn to focus on His love, everything else just melts away!
