John 19:26-27 (ESV) When Jesus saw his mother & the disciple whom He loved (John) standing nearby, He said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” & from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. —Christ tenderly provided for His mother at His death. He was telling John to take care of His mother like he would his own mother. At the foot of the Cross, is the scene of profound love. Jesus’ last act before willingly laying down His life, was to take care of His Mother in a profound personal way. What an absolutely amazing picture of pure love! Hope you had a blessed Mother’s Day!
