John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” —We are in the Jewish month of Elul. Who’s meaning is referred to a time when “the king is in the field” &, in contrast to when He is in the royal palace, “everyone who so desires is permitted to meet Him, & He receives them all with a cheerful countenance & shows a smiling face to them all.
