My Anchor Holds in the Storm! Isaiah 33:2 O LORD, be gracious to us! We wait for You. Be our strength every morning & our salvation in time of trouble. Lam 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Hebr 6:19 We have this as a sure & steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain. Col 1:5 Because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel. Psalm62:5-6 Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock & my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken. —When tragedy strikes it is here that we see how fragile this life really is & here is where our God holds us like an anchor in the storms of life! Tho tossed about …we are to find rest in God alone! Remember great is His faithfulness! Love Mel

Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, & He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved. Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, & do not lean on your own understanding. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod & your staff, they comfort me. Col 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Phil 3:20 Our citizenship is in heaven, & from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. — There is so much pain in this world, but be of good cheer for God has overcome the world. Jesus Washing Feet Teaches us Much
John 13:5 (ESV) He (Jesus) poured water into a basin & began to wash the disciples’ feet & to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around Him. John 13:14 If I then, your Lord & Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. John 13:8 (NIV)No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.” 1Peter 4:10 (ESV) As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:Gal 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, & to give His life as a ransom for many. Matt 23:11 The greatest among you shall be your servant. — To serve is to give life to others as He has given to us! Jesus is trying to teach us the way to Him! Though it is free, we have the opportunity to use the gift for each other! Don’t forget to do it with love! Love Mel
